It's better to be lucky than good in poker. People might think this is a joke but you need to play off from what is optimal when you have a bad feeling about a hand. Trust your feelings Luke. Sometimes you have to lay down top set on the flop when a guy jams. Sure you have the nuts right now, but you just know it in your bones that he's going to river a flush, so you fold now even though the math is wrong. Or sometimes you can call with a gutshot straight just because you know you're gonna get there. So what if you're only getting 2:1, it doesn't matter. You know it's coming so you go with it. Don't play smart poker, play lucky poker.
