2024 Fantasy Football Thread
Welcome to the 2024 fantasy season, where I'm officially addicted to best ball. I've been drafting since the end of Jan
Wait, mine might be worse. My guy now has Burrow, Herbert, Maye, and Darnold.
All naked.
Apparently there are rumors that Najee suffered a serious eye injury during a fireworks incident this past weekend.
Initially on this stream with Neil Orfield and John Daigle. It starts at 17:10. And then when I searched it on X, there were multiple posts referring to the possibility.
$1 KOTD - Just going to get all my Waller exposure in contests I don't care about. Also my first LMC share.
Purdy, Dak, Tua
Kamara, Chuba, Pacheco, Javonte, Wright, Hunter
Chase, Tee, Hill, Olave, Aiyuk, Palmer, Tolbert, LMC
J. Ferguson, Waller, Juwan
I googled it and saw it on Reddit . I feel like we’d have heard about it if it was real .
I'm not sure at this time of year. LAC is under no obligation to confirm it.
Might not hurt to draft Omarion at ADP or past any time you have the chance and just fade Najee until we know for sure.
A Hampton team with 6 WRs.
Penix, Stafford, Shough
Hampton, Mixon, Pollard, Dobbins, Braelon, Sanders
Puka, London, Adams, Waddle, Higgins, Shaheed
Kraft, Juwan Higbee
I was going to roll with solo Penix, but got Tua 27 past ADP.
Penix, Tua
Hampton, Walker, Jones, Skat, Spears, Braelon, Corum, Keaton
JJ, London, Hill, Jeudy, Kupp, Mooney, XL, Dyami, Malik
J. Ferguson
For Tee's median outcome, his price is bad. For what Tee offers on a ceiling outcome, his price is probably too cheap. The Burrow/Tee stack won a lot of tournaments last season.
Waddle is a really good player, but he's not in Tee's situation, nor is he as good as Tee, imo. I can see some parallels for the fact that each plays next to an alpha, has contingent upside, have shown spike week upside, etc.. But I don't think the 3 round difference in price is a mistake. Burrow is also far ahead of Tua on both passing skill and injury concern.

Did you have Schultz in your que so you wouldn't forget him? I don't think making an adp "mistake" at this stage of the draft is a big deal.
I like the team. All three of your TE's could have solid spike weeks.

I agree with you. I just remember last year many "experts" were very happy to take Waddle in the late second and I didn't feel great about it but I did the same. I have the same feeling about Tee this year. I've taken him but I have a bad feeling about it. I'm trusting my feels this year. I'll take him in the third if he falls.
Waddle, DeVonta and Tee are all funny. Last year, DeVonta/Waddle were at the 2/3 turn and Tee was discounted at the 3/4. This year, Tee is at the 2/3 turn and DeVonta is mid 4th with Waddle mid 5th.
Their ADPs are all about what happened last year rather than what can happen this year.

You will need Penix to be the guy on this squad. I think he can be.
If the rumors about Najee are true Hampton could be elite.
Your TE room is thin but I get it they are stacked. I like this room a lot better with a TE a pip or two better than Kraft. Maybe take a TE instead of Higgins?

I did. Agree the ADP mistake isn't terrible at that point, but I could have had Pierce or Shipley.

ADP's seem to be what have you done for me lately. We know that next years ADP's will be vastly different from this years.
DeVonta Smith is a player I never want unless I have Hurts. They simply don't throw the ball enough. Waddle in the 5th is probably a steal this year especially with Jonnu gone.
I see Tyreek is moving into the late second. He was going way too late and I scooped him every chance I could. I knew CMC would move up significantly from where he started. I bet we start seeing him going inside the top five in some drafts. If he is healthy to start camp people will start getting FOMO especially the casuals.
We should start putting together next years projected ADP.
Puppy number 1. Draft slot 11.
I didn't intend on going 3 QB here but Bryce fell past ADP and I had TET. I never hate having 3 quality QB's. The past couple years I have had a ton of teams that were sunk late in the year because I got zeros at the QB position.
I like to talk things out because I am more concerned if my thought process is right than if this is a good team or not. Who knows what will be needed this year.
I like the RB room. I have 3 upside guy's with a couple vets.
The WR's are a bit thin but think but they are all professionals and they stack well.
QB) Lamar, Trevor, Bryce
RB) Jeanty, Kamara, Harvey, Tuten, Ekeler,
WR) BTJ, TET, Egbuka, Kupp, Bateman, Dyami, Coker
TE) Andrews, Taylor, Sanders.
It'll be good if the rookies pay off. How far past ADP was Bryce?
