Structuring Three Street Bets to get all in smooth.

I know a good hack to get an all-in pot size bet for two streets but I wonder how to get in smooth for three streets. Is a way to structure our stack to do it live.

For the two street all in vs one player:
(Stack-Pot)/3 = First bet . Then you last bet will give 2:1 odds.

What if we want to build a three street play? Is there any way other than memorizing SPR tables?

Geo-Sizing might be what you’re looking for

Geometric Bet Size = ((1 + 2 * SPR) ^ (1/n) - 1) / 2

Where:

  • SPR = stack-to-pot ratio
  • n = number of bets

And of course, I will plug my own article:

I'm just wondering, when we are on the felt and we have x pot and y stack with a strong hand and a loose caller can we create a simple rough visual calculation to get those stacks in smooth.

This is mostly so that we don't end up with an odd bet size on later streets. Whenever I see someone with 1/3 pot sized bet or less on the river it seems that they didn't really think about what they were doing on earlier streets.

I think I'm just stuck memorizing what Pot percentages go with certain SPRs.

Maybe not as much of an issue as I thought. Especially if we increase out initial raise size once stacks get deeper. I'm sure I'm just scratching the surface here. Single raise pot makes us want to bet pot three streets and 3-bet pots want roughly 75% pot.

Yeah you don't wanna try and calculate this in your head. The easiest way is to just memorize a few milestones.

I must be misunderstanding this chart. What are the turn calculations here?
For example, shouldn't geometric sizing from the turn for 20 SPR be 270%?

edit: It seems the turns have been calculated like this: ((1 + 2 * SPR) ^ (1/6) - 1) / 2

Oh whoops! Excel error, I accidentally input the flop geo size into the turn SPR. Right formula, wrong input.

Anyway, here's the corrected table

Unless I have a very big hand, and I see villain geo-sizing me, I’m leaning hard toward the fold. Not many at my stakes know this concept and if they do, they’re probably not sizing up a bluff.
