I'd describe myself as slightly more than a casual when it comes to FPL and in general am quite invested in Fantasy games (NBA & Cycling) but honestly this may be the year I sit out.
The simplicity of the game made it great and very accessible to everyone (family, colleagues, etc..) now every year I have to hear about new rules coming out of nowhere and I just don't wanna have to think that deep
Part of the game for me in the early days was just smashing a lineup based on feelings while drunk on Friday night eating some Indian now it's like they're making the game for the nerds on twitter who tweet & blog about FPL for a living

I'm ready for the inane awfulness of the half-time and sub interviews, having watched them in US sports for several seasons now.
They will add absolutely nothing to the broadcast. That moment when a moron with a mic runs onto the field immediately after the Cup Final to ask the nearest player to 'talk us through the emotion'? Half-time interviews will be one notch up from that.
Ad I'm angry that players can no longer escape to the sanctuary of the dressing without a bloody camera in there now as well. That's just snooping by the TV companies. I live in hope that it will take just a couple of irate teams who've surrendered a a lead late in injury time and trashed umpteen thousand quid's worth of camera in a fit of pique for Sky to have a rethink.

Exactly. Has someone put the Americans in charge of it or something?
Same. Something about it being budget and not a draft just does not appeal to me and I lose interest after a few weeks.
I am in a draft EPL fantasy league with a bunch of work buddies that has been really competitive and a ton of fun over the past four years. Would absolutely set up a league if enough people itt were interested (10-12).

This new FPL interface is, hands down, the worst I have seen in years.
They've somehow managed to double the amount of clicks required to make a transfer.
The menus are all over the place. Click an option on the left of the screen and the content appears on the right of the screen.
It's clearly been made in a generic template without any thought whatsoever.
Mosquero and Gyokeres take the summer spend to £198M. Yes, if Arteta can't win something now then a different direction and some fresh ideas are needed though he has a job for life under these yank owners probably.
