Lol more antivaxxer talking points. Also rather US centric. In Canada a huge number of lives were SAVED because the Canadian procurement allowed legal protections under emergency rules. This allowed those life-savings vaccines to get into the economy probably years earlier than the normal full regulatory process. Thank god for that, the pandemic stabilized because of it, lives were saved, the economy returned, THANK YOU JUSTIN TRUDEAU. But those protections in Canada only applied to the earlier govenrment procurement batches. Now the vaccines have been proven to be extremely save, have full approval of the medical health authorities, and specifically in canada in 2025 use the completely standard drug clauses with the same legal status as any other drug.

It feels like you are imagining this is Elon Musk DOGE when there is very little signs of that so far. Unlike poilievre, the cuts to operational spending are protecting all the things like transfers to governments and individuals, in particular all the new policies of CCB, childcare, dental, are protected. It's sounding like reductions in workforce (which grew massively post pandemic) are going to be driven off the top by attrition. And regulations the 60 days isn't a "chainsaw to the country", it's for all the major departments to make a report that reviews possible paths forward.
Like in both these cases I'm somewhat sympathetic to your fears, you could imagine similar language being used by a far right doge type trying to take an ax to everything. But I don't the signs are yet there that this is what is happening. A modest, technocratic reducing of the less effective spending and getting rid of silly and overbearing regulations that harm the economy without significantlly protecting anything is reasonable.
I guess time will tell which of our narratives proves correct.
