Entire families were separated during slavery. People deserve the right to know where they came from and who their families are. Identity and connectedness is not a Nazi concept.

No obviously they aren't the same but they do come from the same place which is this weird caring that people have about their ancestors. I wonder if it's just an American thing because it's a new country. Do the French care or they just like "we're french so what?".

We recently had the last living speaker of a native language die here in my state. The native community has been vocal about their sorrow and loss of their history. They are Nazis, right?

Heritage means shared cultural, historical, and ancestral traditions. Everyone has heritage.
What it does NOT mean is racial purity and supremacy.
