But yes I think the obsession people can have with bloodlines, ethnicity, race, ancestors, whatever a heritage is supposed to be, etc, is weird and it does feel very much right wing to me, but I can leave out the part about Nazis if Crossnerd or anyone else wants to try to have a civil discussion.

If properly understood as a claim about metaphysics, he is saying that if slavery didn’t happen he wouldn’t exist. But that’s just to say that as a contingent entity, if any of the contingent facts that led to his existence were not true, then he would not exist.

However where his point is not true is that he doesn’t owe EVERYTHING he is to slavery. He also owes it to all the other contingent (minimally) facts about the causal order that led to his existence.

The history of the North America, and indeed most of human history (but especially North America which never really had any long lasting "peaceful" civilizations), is just a long unbroken chain of what you call genocide. And "native" in the way you use it is just the second to last group to control an area before someone with low melanin took over.

Obviously liberal society today can strive to be better. But creating ahistorical ideological myths where 'whites" are some pernicious evil and "natives" have some innate moral superiority is not only not true; but doesn't any productive purpose.

I'm curious-- if you guys had the chance to go back in time and eliminate the African slave trade, would you do it if that meant also eliminating 95% of black people in America and putting the percentage of blacks on par with say Argentina?

The Hamas run Health Ministry and sympathetic NGO personnel are not good faith actors. So liberals accepting their false narratives at face value, when most evidence disputes it, creates more harm than good. Even if liberal empathy is well intentioned.

if you look deep into USA Indigenous History ( native is racist here in Canada ) there were many tribes and they fought against each other a few tribes were the most evil raiding other tribes and killing most in the most inhumane ways. It doesn't make it right but indigenous folks are the most discriminated people in North America
