What part of the country are you in?

I tend bet 1/3 here but not a huge deal. Our hand doesn’t do great when cr but vs this size and with a bdnfd we’re always calling. Vs pot we would have to fold

Sometimes when I don't like calling or folding, I raise. Is this a good spot to raise (full pot)?

This is fish logic. If I said we would fold to a pot sized raise why would we jam top and bottom when we will almost always be in awful shape when called?

It felt like he didn't have the straight when he raised only half pot. It would be hard for him to continue against a re-raise to 230 without the straight or top set (we block both).

Ok then jam, you’re printing vs 42. Why ask here?

I would fold to the raise with all the reverse implied odds of all our outs.

He can easily have a set or wheel.

Yeh the sizing is suspect but I think folding is the way to go unless you have info on the sizing. He has a ton of 53 out of the BB, and when we call the raise I don't see how the turn ever works out for us other than an Ace. Even making the straight would be hard to get paid much.

Does anyone fold pre here? Doesn't seem great having the Kc and the 3 high flushdraw is worthless.

Otf: why not check, especially if we don't like being raised and our hand doesn't need much protection.

As played, calling.

These were my thoughts as well. Not a great hand pre having the Kc and only two combinations to the nut straight. I am folding to the flop raise as well. There are not a lot of great turn cards that we are excited about other than a club and holding the AcKc, we are not likely to get paid off big if we hit our backdoor flush. It is also difficult to play the turn if the board pairs and V leads big.

Can't fold pre live.

1. You're missing out on a little bit of EV if you fold. Live players make big mistakes post-flop. You can play a lot of borderline hands that you would fold online.

2. If you're a good player, you're going to get harassed no matter what. Trying to play closer to 30% VPIP instead of 15% makes it a lot easier to deal with.

(You also get more action when you give more action. But in PLO live or online, I never seem to have trouble getting action on my big hands regardless of VPIP.)
