I hate bottom set.
I've mentioned my favorite fish pond before. Whenever a black deuce hits the flop, it triggers the next hand to be a double-board Omaha bomb pot. A new wrinkle that's been added recently is that when a red deuce flops, the next hand is just straight Omaha. And that's what happened the hand before this one.
Technically, it's no-limit, for whatever it's worth. 1/2 blinds but it's $5 to bring it in. UTG straddles for $10.
Multiple limps to me in the small blind and I come in with A♦ 2♦ 4♦ 4x. Don't like having a dead out to my suited Ace, but I've also got a pair and three to the wheel, so I complete to $10. Of course, the straddle raises to $30 β this means nothing, just bloats the pot. Good ol' five-way flop action:
Flop ($150): 10♠ 9♦ 4♥
I check first to act, checked to a late-position player, who bets $60. Villain is new to the table, but I've played him before and β at least in Hold'em β he's a spaz. He started the hand with $400, and I cover. I call.
Turn ($270): Q♠
I check, Villain bets $150, I fold.

Unless the straddle is on every hand and this is basically a 5/10 game with pretty deep stacks everywhere this is always a fold pf…even in the scenario I mentioned I’m folding pretty often from the sb
As played just cr flop with these stacks

There's a straddle on because the straddler likes to straddle and he's up $1000 on the night. If I had an inkling he would raise, I definitely fold my middling hand, but the Omaha hands tend to go 17 ways to a limped flop.
Without getting into a whole sidetrack of preflop hand-charting, how much better would my hand have had to be to get in there?
Well since you seem to be completely timid with bottom set vs the one guy at the table you should be at least somewhat confident against, hands like ATT6, A997 etc are going to play better
And the less the game is being straddled the more you should fold in general. I realize it doesn’t always apply and sometimes it 6-7 ways to the flop whether someone straddles or not but even fish do tend to limp at least slightly tighter when the straddle is on in a game it’s only on 1 or 2 times per round compared to 4-5 straddles per round games
