New fast food discussion/review thread
OK OOT, it's been a while since we had a devoted fast food thread around here and I think it's time we had a new one.

The irony of that (at least to me) is that when & where I grew up, Sunday was the only day of the week that you could count on finding fried chicken at home or at one of your friends' homes. It was very rare to see it on other days except as leftovers.

This is such a fun thread! I’m from Pakistan, so most of these fast food places aren’t available here — though we do have KFC, McDonald’s, Subway, and a few local chains trying to catch up. I'd love to see your take on Sonic or Checkers since you haven’t tried them yet. Also, don’t forget dessert — try anything with ice cream! Here, we often end a fast food meal with brands like Slap or Walls. Looking forward to your reviews!

Not to join any club, just to see the menu. It turned out that I did JITB today because the Bonus Jack is in town. It used to be a standard menu item many years ago, but now it's a limited time only thing.

And lolololololol at comparing a McDonalds double cheeseburger to an In N out Double Double. Different ballparks.
So it looks like Mcds increased the price on the mcdouble meal deal (from $5 to $6), and adding the $7 Daily Double Meal Deal that steve enjoys. McChix remains $5. I'm not 100% sure the DD Meal Deal is good at $7, especially when I can get a Bacon Double Stack Meal deal at Wendys for $7.
I was unsuccessful at trying to join Mickey's discount club on a website. It kept saying "app" everywhere. I was surprised because I'm in a lot of other discount clubs via websites.

Great idea for the BOGO! I'm not sure our MCDs do the $1 small soda.... investigating... whoa... small is $1.77, EXTRA SMALL is $1.70. I think the ExSm is like a water cup size. Unfortunately my local never turned the self serve soda back on... rat bastids
Granted, the MCD's basic mcdouble is garbage, 100% agree. However, when you add lettuce, tomato, pickles, mayo, ketchup and mustard (makes for a nice sloppy burger) some kind of magic happens where it becomes delicious.
I'll have to do a better, apples to apples test: Dubdub + McDonalds fries vs DailyDub + MCD fries. Maybe in 2026!
And let's not forget the free soda and 4-piece nugs! I don't even want to think about how much those would cost ala carte

What a value conundrum! Haven't had a double stack in a hot minute; value-wise I'd rate it a wash, I think both have good nugs, MCDs probably a bit better.
MCD's menu seems to be more consistent; I don't see the $7 BDSM meal available locally, but I do see a 2x JBC meal deal for $8. Whereas MCDs has the $7 DD and $5-6 deals everywhere.
Wendy's offer tab is pretty redic though, so many! It's interesting to see how so many chains are copying mcdonalds free fry deals:

JITB: no offers
McDonalds: Free med fries Friday with purchase; $2 any size fries 24/7
curious how many people here find purchasing fries and a drink almost obligatory in the current ff currency exchange markets
