Another heel turn would feel weird.

I didn't think the heel turn would last that long, but just coming out and abandoning it is trash. A Cody heel turn feels likely, but isn't the answer. A street fight between two faces? Don't really care. Where's the heat?

I blame HHH & Rock butting heads and then Rock just disappears. I'm having trouble finding many things that will draw me to this SS.

If Kross wins, Zayn has to say the words "Kross was right". If Zayn wins, Kross must say "I was wrong" about Zayn.

The streets are saying Kross may take upto six bumps in this match so it's sure to be a classic.

1 Naomi (c) vs. Rhea Ripley vs. Iyo Sky Triple threat match for the Women's World Championship

The last time these three were in a match together, it was the greatest women's match in WWE/F history.

2 Becky Lynch (c) vs. Lyra Valkyria No Disqualification, No Countout Last Chance match for the WWE Women's Intercontinental Championship - If Lynch wins, Valkyria can no longer challenge for the title for as long as Lynch is champion.

Lyra needs to win here. Becky does the favors.

3 Solo Sikoa (c) vs. Jacob Fatu Steel Cage match for the WWE United States Championship

I haven't been watching either show so I had no idea there was a cage match, exciting!

Dom wins in the Match of the Night. Solidifies his reign as a legit Intercontinental Champion.

3 - Maybe a Liv return? Costs them the titles. It's been mentioned that Charlotte doesn't want to be portrayed as a heel anymore and seems to be dropping the "better than everyone else" queen gimmick. It would be a surprise if they tease tension.
4 & 5 more meh - Give Kross all the credit in the world for doing everything he can to get over and the crowd does seem to be behind him. They should probably turn him face and not let him get exploited in the ring.
6 - Punk seems likely to hold a title sooner or later, but didn't Gunter just get the title back. Tapping to Yeet at Mania did some damage to his image. Think he needs the win here more.

N2
1 - Should be fun, but nothing we haven't seen before. And Naomi is there too.
2 - Lyra is technically sound, but that's the nicest thing I can say about her.
3 - Cage match may be the highlight of the show for me.
4 - Did AJ mention retirement recently?

6 - Well, it can't be worse than Mania, can it?

The only reason Gunther has the title now is Jey reign was useless and Jey could never have gotten Goldberg through that SNME match.

I absolutely believe this, but I think the die is cast here. The WM build exposed how stale he’s become and the crowd turning on him really is forcing their hand. One of Cody or Cena is leaving SS a heel and I don’t think people want to be booing cena into his finale so it makes sense for it to be Cody

I don’t think it’s particularly fair to Cody cuz I think his work has been absolutely excellent and he’s a victim of maybe the best cena work of his career, but they’re not gonna risk turning him into sufferin succotash Roman

Predictions:

N1: 1. punk wins lol

I think the only reason Gunther is still champ is cuz rollins got hurt, otherwise I believe the plan was a cash-in on oldberg and not wanting uso to drop to him to get there

Plus this sets up breaker v punk which I fully expect to be amazing

2. Zayn/cross double turn

Cross seems super over and a heel Zayn seems like a lot of fun. Good time to make it so

N2: cody wins via rock

This really only works if the rock comes back as a semi-regular character and presumably sets up a rock v cena retirement match, but Cody selling out and being the rock’s champion is kinda the only way this can work when cena only has 4 months left here

I swear to ****ing Christ if the rock doesn’t show and this is another travis Scott cameo

Man I was hoping for Seth's music after Punk won and it happened.

They went to such lengths to make the injury seem legit.

What amazing content with Drew/Seth/Punk for two years now and really only one person to thank for it.

That was the best wrestling moment I've ever seen.

I'm still buzzed about it.

Seth was my fav guy since watching again on Netflix and I was DYING to hear his music when Punk won and fate delivered.

10/10 will never question creative again.

I know this sounds like prisoner of the moment stuff but I can honestly say my 2 biggest mtfo moments as a wrestling fan were cena scowling at the rock and rollins dropping the crutches

After what they pulled off last night, something crazy has to happen in the main tonight. I'd rather see the Cena thing be a ruse than a Cody turn. I don't feel good about it going that way though.

Cody heel turn is so transparently obvious it would almost be insulting if it didn’t happen

The problem is off the top of my head there isn’t a single full time main event face on smackdown if you pull the trigger

But you have guys on the cusp like knight, Fatu, priest, that using Cody is the apex heel is a great tool to get other faces to the top stage

Rooting for n1 to be better

Orton would be the obvious first feud for a heel Cody. He'd have to face Cena again. Probably his retirement match. Reigns again. Guys you've mentioned. Still rooting against it for now. They still have more to pull out of this babyface run. But then again, I thought they turned Jacob Fatu too soon too.

The only thing that was remotely good about N1 was the ending. There can't be one single thing better, but a strong night overall with a few surprises could be at least comparable.
