you get 3 nights free and some wine and cheese so for someone like me, who gives MGM zero action, it would come out as a negative rake (if I were playing in it which I won't)
Opener has ~500K in the prize Pool before the Saturday Flights, off to a good start.
I do wish they had more Mixed events on the schedule for the summer open, but they did just have that mixed series recently. I would of loved to see a single 2-7 TD Torny again, but The B.E.A.S.T should suffice.

I am struggling to see who they are trying to attract with this $10K "experience" event, with high rake and no guarantee, that runs during the middle of the week.
How about running an actual good secondary event to the Main, so people traveling have something else to play if they bust?
They've done this 2-3 times. Unless this attracting a bunch of pit whales (they have the data and we don't,but it would surprise me) I don't get it at all.
It looks like we finally have a day 2 max late reg for the main.
Can reg in upto end of level 12, that wasn't an option in the winter 3500.

Cash room entrance feels like wandering through a degenerate seniors home, confirmed very bad vibes. Everyone declared cash was dead and they were mostly right but I thought the 10 ante double-board bomb game livened up the room.

Looking at bravo over the weekend was depressing. I didn't expect as many games as Jan with people being burnt out from WSOP but this was really bad.

20-40 hold em usually goes on Thursday (probably one table). 20-40 stud goes Thursday at Harrah’s.
Credit where it’s due, some changes at Borgata aren’t terrible.
The new rule about free the discounted time after opening a new game is sick.
The chip runners seem to be operating much more effectively, although plenty gripes about them asking for ID/SSN when buying a lot.
The chairs are sorta weird but better than the old broken completely disgusting old chairs.
New TV set up is okay although many of them the picture is pretty messed up.
What is that? Do you mean there is no time charge the first half hour when a game is opened (which was the case years ago, I think)? Does it effect raked games?

Does anyone know if the Borgata has player's accounts--an account where players can deposit and withdraw chips or cash similar to a bank account? It's hard to find info on this info online because all searches assume you're asking about an online gambling account for playing online or sports betting.
No impact on rake games
Time games are free for the first 2 hours if you open the game, then 2 hours of $1/30 min time.
That's great news but I don't get it. How are they making money? As it was they made more off of a raked game than a time game. Does this apply to only the specific players who open the game, with anyone who sat afterwards paying normal time? What about must-move games (does the Borgata even use them anymore)? Does it apply to only the main game?

It’s only for the players who are at the table when the game begins, everyone else pays normal time, and after four hours everybody pays normal time. Who was there when the game opened is tracked by the floor currently.
If a must move opens it’s considered a new game and the new players get the free time and discounted time, including if and when they move to the main game.
I assume the idea is more people opening games = more games= more time collected, plus just as a give back to the players after rake and time has gone up for every game
Meh. They've always been very good at writing stuff down on notepads at borgata. Actually operating a functioning wait list is where they compeltely fall apart.

When I cleaned by box out I saw some notice in the room with the boxes about switching to offering front money accounts but I didn't look at it too closely or get the details.

Is Borgata $1/$3 generally considered loser than the average $1)$3 or rather and or plays bigger but tight?
