Seems only fair.

As you probably know, this is a cover of a cover. The original was by The Vaselines.

OOPS! I did know that.

The lesson as always, don’t post after work at 3am in a sugar coma.

"Son of a Gun" and "Jesus Wants Me for a Sunbeam" are also on that Vaselines comp.

She was at the Newport Jazz Festival last weekend. Unfortunately, I had another commitment the day she was there, but I did get to see her last year.

Let the music play...

Can we all agree this is the best version?

Attn: Dominic, I’m positive I’ve posted this before in the long ago.

At a rehearsal for graduation, I was practicing introducing the student speakers, getting the pronunciation of their names correctly. I asked one student, Jacqueline Henoa, how to say her last name. "Hey now," she said.

So when it came time to practice introducing her, of course I said, Jacqueline Henoa, Henao, don't dream it's over."

She said it relaxed her completely, and she forgot how nervous she was. She killed it the next day at graduation.

β€œHey now, you’re a rock star!” probably would’ve worked too.

Fairly obscure, but I would rate this as a successful R&B cover of Sledgehammer by Peter Gabriel.

Dolores O'Riordan singing Go Your Own Way.

All I can ever hear from her (RIP) is ZOMBIEZOMBIEZIMBIEZOMBIEZOMBIE

Lovely lovely voice too. :(

But a grand total of one person was ever any good at screaming the same word/phrase over and over and over as part of a well-written catchy song performed by outstanding musicians, and an entire generation was ruined trying to imitate that in hopes of equalling his commercial success.

This might be the most unusual cover I've ever heard. Van Morrison does Stephen Sondheim.

I have always loved this version. Heartbreaking.

I guess except for the original version everything is a cover.

Homer’s cover was quite moving imo.

i don't know if some are better than others, but I thought they were all interesting. i always like it when a bluegrass band covers a pop song ;-)
