Alcaraz has that remarkable ability to engage god mode when needed. Tight moments in the tiebreak, Fritz hitting great serves, Alcaraz somehow returns incredibly effectively.

Djokovic clearly isn't 100%, and at his age, I don't ever expect to see him healthy enough in the second week of a slam to have a real chance to ship.

Sorry. I'd stumbled across an old Guardian article arguing Djokovic isn't the GOAT, in part because his game is based on his speed and flexibility. The GOAT debate is mostly tedious, but those reasons are remarkably stupid. I think Federer's athleticism tends to get underrated, people overlooking that skil alone wouldn't have allowed him to compete with Djokovic and Nadal.

Anisimova should retire, this is appalling. I wish Sabalenka had got through because at least she would try. And to think they get equal pay to the men.
