English Football Season 2025-2026. Here we go again.
Welcome 2+2 to the English football season of 2025-2026.
This year I am going to make the thread officially for all of E
Someone's obviously not aware that 'The Emirates' is also known as 'The Library' because of the lack of noise generated by the home fans.
And so they're taking steps to reduce the advantage other stadiums have. You don't really have a point, do you?
Also fyi the "library" was coined to describe Highbury and carried over to the new stadium.
I think Arsenal have had one of the best home atmospheres in the league for a few years now…top 3 at worst.
And I much prefer “Cameldome” as nicknames go.
Donnarumma left out of the PSG squad. He is going to go seemingly.
**** this shite
Am I crazy or does Grealish to Everton lack some serious ambition? Why on earth would he go to Everton?
New contract, keep playing, more money

He’s not going to get back in the England squad sitting on the bench. I hope a change of scenery will help him get the joy and creativity back in his game because man he was fun to watch before Pep got his hands on him.
It's his new level. He was pretty good at Vila, you know.
It’s a chance for him to star and maybe even get a better move in a year or so. It could well be that Everton are the only club seriously asking about him and/or would be willing to pay his wages and transfer fee. He’d probably be fantastic at Fulham(to use a random example), but Fulham likely don’t want to pay his wages and whatever City may ask if it’s above £35m

I don't disagree he should be playing but Everton???? I think Kdawg might've nailed it and that there just isn't any other interest.
He isn't ever going to be an England regular now. Circulatory Pepball destroyed him.
I think he is just too daft for complex modern tactics. Think he zoned out each time Pep played him as he was trying to remember what to do - whereas at Villa he was told to play some footy.
Might work out perfectly for Everton btw.
The loan is probably good for all parties. I'd love him at West Ham but we have too little resource and too many demands on that resource in other positions for him to be considered.
The big question is who is going to pony up a fee and big wages for someone that has indulged in a fair bit of off the field stuff that may reduce his longevity.
I can live with Spurs getting Savinho, but we should be all over Eze. Think the guy is beyond quality

Yea he is 29 which is 41 in Ibiza lad years

I don't think he gets close to 300k a week again, but maybe he doesn't care - 150k a week and playing has to be better for him, not like he's likely to struggle for cash again. Though that depends on how many 125k bottles of champagne he's bought I guess.
He's obviously class just hasn't worked for him at City, would absolutely love him at Spurs obviously.
Don't disagree here either but Everton lol. Come on. He could go to a Marseille(if there's a market for him) and at least pretend to be competing for a cup. With Everton he can't even pretend. They're just fighting relegation every year.
I do seem to be the only one thinking this though so guess I'm just wrong lol.

Agreed. Spurs getting Eze would hurt.
It’s World Cup year next year and this probably factors into some players moves.
Grealish will at least want to be part of the squad so getting regular game time and fans talking at Everton is a better bet than Marseille imo.
Eze is 27 and while it would horrible to see him with a cock on his shirt I wouldn’t blame him for taking a guaranteed start absent Maddison.
Oh I just saw that Pep wants to end Rodrygo's creative winger career too.
Not like anyone else is going to pay 100million for him.

How long has he been at City? Absent the charges against them, I’d imagine that they’re in pretty good shape for PSR and his book price would be a good bit lower. His book price could well be like £20-30m and they could well break even for book value if they sold him for £25m (I utterly hate I know this much about PSR, but United being so **** in transfers has made some of us hyper focus on how United could un**** themselves).
The trip up could be his wages. I don’t know what he’s on at City, but it has to be a wage that would make things extremely difficult for many clubs. Even if he takes a 50% wage cut, he’s almost certainly over 100k a week and you guys are probably one of the few in your position that can handle that (I think he’d do great at West Ham as well) and that makes for a very small market.
I fully believe that the Ibiza Final Boss is Simple Jack from another universe.
Also from KDawgs post I remembered City was charged for FFP violations. Lol. Back then they seemed to have forgotten that the Saudis bought that part of England.
