Who played this hand the worst?

I know I butchered this hand but I think I wasn't the only one.

1/2 Hero is effective stack at about $500. Everybody else is 600-800.

UTG Indian guy opens to $15
UTG+1 Sunglasses and hoodie LAG calls
UTG+2 Stubby Fingers loose/sometimes aggro guy calls.
BTN LAG Business Attire calls.
Hero calls completing action w/ K9hh in BB.

Flop: $70 Qh 7h 3h.

Hero checks looking to eval and prob c/r big. Sadly checks through 4 players.

Turn: $70 Qh7h3h Th.

Hero checks now significantly downgraded this multiway. Checks through again.

River: $70 Qh7h3hTh Qx

Hero checks again looking to c/c. Checks to LAG Business Attire guy on BTN who bets $75. Hero calls. Folds to Stubby Fingers who jams for about $700. Business Attire LAG guy tank folds flicking one card. Hero folds.

Stubby Fingers had quad Queens. Business Attire had Ah x.

I would think that someone who's been a member of this forum forever would know better than to give results in his OP.

Flop - Donking has its merits since many people will even check back TP/overpairs on monotone boards multiway. Many ppl will either bet air/Axh or super strong ranges(2p+/sets/flushes) on such flop. Air/Axh probably not stabbing too often since it's multiway unless Btn specifically.

Turn check is fine. Betting small like 25$ is ok as well.

River I think we can bet like 25-35 for value. If we get raised we know we are beat.
Btn potting river seems to scream massive strength. I dont think he bluffs with this size. We might be able to make a tight fold.

Overall it's not that bad. At least you didn't call the jam. lol

QQ should 3! preflop, but not surprised at 1/2. Hero needs to bet flop. Ah needs to bet turn. Overbet with Ah on river optimistic. Hero should maybe fold river the first time. Is he really overbetting as a bluff or with Qh? Shove is optimistic, but overbet could be a boat and might call. TT at least should call the shove. Maybe bad player calls it with the nut flush.

I think you actually played it fine. The other players played it awful.

They saved you a lot of money with the ridiculous slowplaying

It's hard to ask who played it worse without results.

I don't agree. Hero should have bet the flop and probably should have folded to the initial overbet on the river.

QQ played it OK, except should have 3! preflop and maybe should have x/red smaller on the river.

Ah maybe misplayed every street.

Grunch:

I want to go on record that I got as far as "stubby fingers" before I lost my composure and started literally laughing out loud.

Well played, OP. Well. Played.

OTTH...

PRE - I know I'm going to catch hell for this, but in this game, with these stack depths, and these characters, I think I'd prefer to 3B this, even knowing we're probably going to end up being OOP and having to out-play our opponent post-flop. I just don't like flatting here, a bazillion ways, with a hand that's too in-between to know where we are on a lot of boards.

FLOP - Aaaannnddddd....this is why I like to raise pre.

In multi-way pots, I'm not slow-playing strong but vulnerable hands. I'd donk here, for a huge size that folds out everything that isn't AhQx or better. I think $105 (1.5x pot) ought to do it.

Monotone boards just don't get stabbed at anywhere near often enough in multi-way pots. Lower flushes aren't stabbing at it. The only worse hands that stab are sets and AhXx. And those hands just shut down when we check-call. They'll also call when we donk. The good news is the nuts probably won't raise, so we're pretty safe betting here.

TURN - Geezus.

I guess we can't bet now, and just need to see the Jh on the river if we're going to get any value?

Honestly, I'm not even sure if I'm being serious or sarcastic. This hand is like any SNL sketch involving a shirtless Will Ferrell. I don't want to see it, but yet I can't look away.

RIVER - Honestly, I think we can pretty safely fold to the PSB river bet. What bluffs does he have on a four-flush / paired board?

I'm not saying I'm EXPECTING someone to check-raise if we call, but...I wouldn't rule it out as a possibility, either. I'm not expecting QQ, but QT and even Q7 seems like it would be in a LAG range here, given the action.

Stubby Fingers showing up with QQ after he flats pre seems like an extremely rare occurrence. I'd be less surprised / more amused by him having 33.

Thanks for posting this hand. Few disasters are as entertaining as this one was.

Tbh, I would fold this preflop. It seems nitty, but the hand is just playable. The slight discount does not make up for being OOP. You could 3!, but you are OOP, and I don't see the point of that at low stakes.

fold pre, check flop, lead turn, lead river

villain misplayed pre and flop, but more importantly: why do you care?

Pre: call or fold. Don’t mind either. Folding isn’t fun though.

Flop: I 100% lead this. Sizing can be whatever. I don’t mind 60% to get multiple callers.

As played:

I am c/f OTT. If turn is checked through, I lead river 60%.
