This type of hand enrages me

This will probably seem like a super mundane hand, but this type of thing pisses me off so much:

Heads up in a 3x BLAST tournament (3 entrants, first gets 3x the buyin)

Effective stack is around 10BBs with me covering with about 16BBs

My hand 54 on the button. I decide to min-raise, BB calls

Flop: 542 Pot 4.2BBs

He checks, I decide to check and kinda represent Ax and hope he bluffs me.

Turn: 2 Pot 4.2BBs

He bets 3BBs

I call and then instantly feel like I should have just jammed the remainder (because his bluffs now have 6 outs), but wanted to continue repping Ax and hope he tries to get me off of it on the river.

River: J Pot: 10.2BBs

He bets ~4BBs and I call and lose to J8

This type of situation just pisses me off so much. I randomly decide to slowplay the flop against someone drawing dead to runner runner and he just happens to get there. Just can't stand this kind of thing, lol.

It's not just about losing the hand, but the scenario of flopping so strong that I want to slowplay it rather than just betting the flop, that I don't raise turn even though I probably should have, and then when I saw the J I was just so aware that he probably just spiked a jack on me and sure enough he had the ol jack-eight. Just hits all the buttons that makes me flip out.

2 pair may not always be the right type of hand to slow play. Sets, HIGH trips (where the other card is lower than your trips) and nut flushes sometimes are a lot better. Straights can be some of the worst since you can lose action or get outdrawn. hope this helps

That's a very bad flop decision unless you know your opponent is super spewy, even then, it's not great

Lol yeah, these spots tilt me too. You flop the world and still feel gross by the river. Checking flop is fine to let him spaz, but once the 2 pairs the board, jamming turn feels way cleaner. His random overs have real equity and at 10bb, denying is huge. River’s just gross, classic BLAST runout.
