Player A goes all in for 2k. How much does player B and C have to call here

Can they call the 2k or do they have to call a minimum of the BB

8k is the minimum to call.

If B and C both call for 8k. 6k (2k each from A, B, C) go into the main pot and 12K (5k each from B and C) go into a side pot that only B and C can win.

Yeah that is the rule we went with


Correct ruling. If only one player calls, then 6K gets returned to that player, so effectively it is a call for the 2K. If it’s the last player who can act, often a dealer will take a shortcut and just let that player call for the 2K, but technically, he should make that player call for 8K then give back 6K. Nobody gets too uptight about that in a situation like that though. With possible multiple callers though (like you described) 8K is definitely correct
