Strat. for 50bb buy-ins
Hi, Im just wondering if anybody has some previously researched/theorized advice on buying in for 50bb's?
The game allows for 50 to 200 bb buy-ins.
Its only .10c / .20c but I would appreciate your thoughts as I'm hoping to not deposit again after this attempt, with an $800 starting bankroll.
I feel as if 80 buy-ins of $10 makes me feel comfortable variance wise and fits my strengths.

I play a lot of 50bb game against people who are clueless pre-flop. Just 3-bet hands with strong equity (often multiway) and you'll do fine. Rake will be a massive issue for you, playing such low stakes. Probably that means you will need to nit it up, but when you participate you are mostly 3-betting.
Thanks Amok.
Would 3 - betting mainly be making decisions easier on the flop? Of course right?
If you have any advice on playing 100bbs deep versus the majority of players being 200bbs deep, please tell me any thoughts or advice you may have (doesn't have to be "theorized" on). GREATLY Appreciate it.

I notice you said you're hoping not to deposit again so I'm going to assume you have another $800 you could deposit. If I was in your situation here's the approach I would take.
I'd commit to getting 2 months of PLO Mastermind/4c Trainer which is $200/month unless there's some sale going and plan to cancel it after 2 months. For that 2 months I would start the first month off studying probably 80% 50bb strategy and 20% 100bb strategy. No idea how much free time you have with work/life etc but I'd eat/sleep/breathe poker as much as you can for this 2 months.
Study for at least 2 hours per day for the first month and even more than this the first week. I would focus on moving up somewhat aggressively until I reached 100plo using a 50bb strategy so that you can get out of the rake trap of micro stakes. I would leave tables when I got to 150bb during this stretch until I found myself at 100plo. This way you will get some practice in playing 100-150bb deep wo taking on crazy variance at lower stakes. Once you're at 100plo with 100 50bb buy ins every 10 buy ins your BR goes up I would use it as a 5 buy in shot at buying in 100bb's until it sticks and you naturally just become a 100bb player, at which point I would focus on studying exclusively 100bb strategy if you still have Mastermind. If not I'd probably just wait til I had 80 100bb buy ins for 100plo and get it again and do the same thing studying 100bb strategy and just cancel after 1-2 months and you can always get it again when you feel you need to sharpen your game
Using this strategy where you focus a good % on studying you give yourself the best chance to not have to reload but I wouldn't just sit on that money unless you need it to live and pay rent. It's going to be much better spent investing in yourself and learning the game properly. Once you have 100 100bb buy ins for 100plo you can start to shot take good 200plo games buying in either 50bb or 100bb. You can obv be more aggressive with shot taking than this if you feel comfortable doing so but you really want to make sure you cement yourself as a 100bb player at 100plo+ as your main goal so you don't destroy your BR and have to move back down to stakes where the rake really destroys your ability to build up and show profit
If you have a job and the money isn't super important I would probably shot take more aggressively or even start at 50plo potentially if you can afford it. Either way just make sure you're putting a good amount of your effort into studying as well esp in the first couple weeks. The best way to learn 100bb+ strategy is play around with solvers and as your BR increases stay on the table as you get deeper and deeper. I see so many SSers that always leave when they get a 2x and never allow themselves to stay and play deeper and they completely limit their ability to actually learn how to play poker along the way
WOW, THANK YOU for such a great reply. I'm going to need your advice and like you said, live/breath/sleep poker for the coming months.
I am going to get 60% r.b. deal on a GG Club so that being said I'm wondering if your advice would be different.
I'm going to p.m. you in regards to my longer term goals, to see what you think/advice. Hope you accept.
I think my post count needs to reach 10 I seen off of Google so will p.m. once there.
Thanks again.

60% RB is relative to how much they rake from the pots which I have no idea as I don't play there. I know some of the app games/clubs have really high rake and I know of some hosts who have set very minimal rake so i60% RB might be great or might be just making the games beatable enough you can play there where with no RB they wouldn't even be beatable...idk
You can feel free to PM me
If the rake paid is $10 at 60% than you get $6 back with $4 rake paid. At $5 you get $3 back with $2 paid. I posted in reply to Amok who wrote a great thorough response. Why would I pm you?

? Sorry, I don't understand. Not making sense to me. PM me if you want I should say to you. Like said, I don't understand. Sorry.
what is a 60% rb deal on ggclub?
It has to do with where you get money back on the total rake you paid. Each hand a little amount comes out of the pot to pay it so the online site gets money for letting you play poker on they're site.
