Bandle (It's Wordle - But MUSIC!)
Anyone else play this before? I just found out about it so not sure how long it's been around.

Spoiler
surprised it was a par 5, was incredibly obvious to me on 3
Spoiler
if you discount those that didn't know it, it's clearly par 3. Par rating is contaminated by this fact, but imo it should only look at % who get it and there should be another metric for how well known a song is
Anyway, that Adele dogshit was a few days ago and people are calling this bad? smh.
Terrible song. 5.

5, this game really demonstrates how important the melody is when everyone just uses the same chord progressions without doing anything interesting musically. There is literally nothing distinguishable about this song before the vocal line.
Except I got it in 1, so that's clearly false. And even though I did use the year as help, it's certainly recognisable at 3 or so.
Nope
I'm inclined to agree with asdff a bit.
I also got it in 3, but I absolutely knew that I recognized the song from just the drum & bass line. Actually I was in the middle of listening to hint 3 and got a phone call, and then it resumed playing when I hung up and the answer immediately came to me. Funny how our minds work.
Jesus Christ, all I said was that this game demonstrates the importance of melodies. There are no melodic lines in clues 1-4 for today’s Bandle and it’s one of the harder (for most) I’ve seen in some time based on the percentages. It’s a generic drum beat under a three chord progression for four straight clues (with just a long sustained note on strings the entirety of the 2nd clue).
I’m sorry that I used the phrase “literally nothing distinguishable.” I didn’t intend it to be taken as meaning that zero people would possibly guess the correct song before the 5th clue.
