5/10/25 2500 cap Pocket 9s versus LAG

i mean he describes the villain in the hand as a gambler. seems unlikely to me that his range is KK+ lol
Is villain bad enough to limp/3! and call a huge overbet shove with anything JJ dominates? JJ plays badly against KK+ and that should be a big portion of the calling range. Maybe this villain limp/3!s 97s, representing KK+, which isn't in itself terrible, and then calls off for stacks to gamble?
3bet pre, raise flop, chill with a call down on turn and river but it's prob pretty close to break even unless he tends to skew more towards value or bluffs. I think V played the hand far better than H, and this hand is pretty decent evidence that H is probably in a little over his head in this game.
Villain played the main hand overbetting trips/quads well.
The JJ hand against a limp/3! from a "gambler" could be played as a call or a 4!/fold. That overbet shove is awful.

10x 4b jamming JJ in position is a thing.
Kinda doubt conditions were optimal because villain needs to have like a 15% range, but this just goes back to my earlier point:
Villain’s fundamentals seem sus to me, but we are playing poker in a casino. Nobody is refining their fundamentals playing 25-hand/hour poker.
Doesn’t mean he isn’t a pro or the best player at the table.
It's not about what percent his range is. It is that his range is polarized to kk÷ and other huge hands and marginal or speculative hands. So most of what you get called by is qq+, which jj plays badly against.
Or don’t, we’re so far aflung from the topic of this thread 🤣
Are you sure no other factors matter other than this one ranging read you're fixated on based no information on villain other than a one-word descriptor that contradicts your read? Are you absolutely certain there's nothing to be learned by pulling up the calculator app and dividing and multiplying some numbers together and seeing what happens?
You might want to sleep on this one if you're not prepared to answer honestly now.
I mean, I agree with your read on the forum in general, but it seems the trend is going the opposite way in this tread. OP wrote a HH clearly leading us to feel like this is a bluff and the people (I think) who have actually played these games and face overbets on the regular are the ones who are most skeptical.
Reasons why I think this is going the other way -SNIP-.
That’s one of the best posts I’ve read in 25 years here, or in any poker book ftm. I for one have certainly never played 5/10/25 NLHE.
FWIW overbets on the river almost never being bluffs is addressed in SSNLHE.
