Is it illegal for me to use a VPN to play on a poker site?
I know there is risk of them finding out and locking my account with my funds in it, but my question is am I doing something illegal? I'm fine with the risk of the former, as I would always only leave on a small amount to use that session (easy to move funds quickly via Crypto), but I just don't want to be breaking the law. Thoughts?

It's only illegal if there is a specific law against it.
Almost every law does not make it illegal for a person to play. It's illegal for the people putting the game on.
So, unless its specifically state in a law that the person playing is at risk of a fine or arrest, using a VPN is not illegal.
Obviously being against terms of service is different and not a legal matter.
I've been told that for most cases they can't even take your money as a site and it's only criminal in your country. The key is not using standard VPNs that get detected easily. You have to pay more for good ones, but they're worth the money.

The site can take your money as you committed fraud with intent to deceive on them. Sites love those that do this as they get the rake and if you ever win big they can "discover" the fraud and they win big.

It depends on the site. It's always good to know which ones react differently, but that's only an issue if they can detect you.

I’m glad it’s alive, let me ask then - I’m playing on GG only because of PS being banned in my country. GG is banned too but they don’t care, and that’s saying something about their overall approach too. I hate this site with every fiber of my being. I think about getting back to ps but I’m afraid that they’ll cancel me and my funds soon afterwards. The worst thing is I have an account opened with them 15y ago that directly states Poland (yes I know). What can I do?
I aim to grind only sng so no big incidental wins and I’ll use the darknet kind of type vpn. What should I say to them, that I moved to Canada?
