2024 Fantasy Football Thread
Welcome to the 2024 fantasy season, where I'm officially addicted to best ball. I've been drafting since the end of Jan
Last 1 for me this year...Long-time friend's league10-teamFull PPR6pt / passing TDsQB / 2RB / 3WR / FLEX / TE / DThoughts?
Would’ve been Puka over London
I’m not really drafting Reek, but the upside is there so I get it
Would’ve been wr (waddle/Egbuka) over jones, especially w your investment at rb
Probably would’ve grabbed Ferguson/loveland over Pitts, but that’s w/e you’re gonna churn te and figure it out anyway
Otherwise, you got a lot of really good prices and values on players , so solid squad overall
Burrow, Herbert
Bijan, Kamara, Dobbins, Skat, Sampson, Blue
Ladd, Tee, Pickens, Diggs, Shaheed, Horton, M Wilson
Gesicki, Fannin, Gadsen
standard scoring, advice on who to start in a flex (1 spot)
leaning : DK or Pearsall
others i have available:
RB: Najee, Bigsby, Bill, Woody Marks
WR: Waddle, Jeudy
i'm leaning Pearsall because of the DK/Sauce matchup and even though i think Rodgers could force balls to DK, i just don't know if that will be enough
TIA
It's really tough to say week 1. I'm guessing rankings will have DK/Pearsall pretty close. Jeudy is also in consideration against the Bengals. I wouldn't consider any of the RBs or Waddle.
Also, freeroll for anyone who hasn't entered, yet.
You can resubmit and change if you want. The second entry will simply overwrite the first one.
I wasn’t going to bother, but once they introduced the cash prizes, I had to.
I played

Herzig
Mathology

Madison Parkhill (Brink44)
RotoStreetWolf

Nah, I'll let it ride.
I just made my last slow draft pick: Jarquez Hunter. It's a bittersweet feeling.
I still have 4 fast Millys and will likely do a few more Puppies. But it's basically time to ride!
I got sniped on all my second QB's. I do think D Jones is gonna have a solid year. He has the weapons. Most importantly he is going from a bottom tier offensive line to a top tier line.
QB) Daniels, Daniel
RB) Conner, Harvey, Mason, Skattebo, Benson
WR) Puca, BTJ, Terry, Coleman, Aiyuk, Tillman, Franklin, Mitchell
TE) Kraft, Ertz, Jonnu
Hopefully my studs..Puca, BTJ and Franklin can sustain the WR room until Terry is up to speed and Aiyuk comes back.

I'm pretty close to done as well. Do you know if there will be anymore Flocks? I'd like to finish up with those contests. I regret I'm only in one of them.

Looks pretty good. Some fragility with Dimes as your QB2, since it's easy to see how he's not playing in weeks 15-17. But with Daniels, it can be fine.

I don't believe so. They have been dropping Sun, Tues, and Fri and since once didn't drop last night, I assume they're ending it with the 12th one that dropped on Sun.

I think the Colts are gonna be good and Dimes will be playing the whole year. Dimes sucked in NY because he was running for his life. We saw the dramatic resurrection of Saquon. I was trying to get Trevor, Love, Stafford and Rodgers but they all went. I was hoping to double click Bryce and XL but nope. I've been big on Rodgers but I just watched some video from their practice and he looked like an old man when running. I still think he has a sneaky good last year in him. I like Roman Wilson as a last round pick.
I guess I'll just do a few more Puppies.
Thanks!
The range definitely includes Dimes playing the whole year. But I've mostly been taking both him and AR on 3 QB builds. There's just a lot of implosion risk for that team.
A lot of correlation in my highest drafted players. This is only the primary post-draft season slate.
Do you have any guys you are scary low on that concerns you?
For me
Ken Walker..........2%
Jayden Daniels....4%
Baker....................1%
Drake...................4%
Nabers.................4%
ARSB....................4%
I wasn't fading these guys it's just happenstance.

No doubt there is a wide range of outcomes here. He was my break glass in case of emergency guy in this draft.
I'm all for Dimes having success this year, but it's going to be a rough start against that Miami front 7 on Sunday.
Guys I wish I had more of
Ridley - 6%
Pearsall - 5%
XL - 5%

Na, that's one of the biggest benefits of using the SpikeWeek draft tool. I'm able to always track my exposures in real-time to make sure unintentional fades are not happening.
I'm mostly 4-16% on every single player in the top 200 or so.
My biggest fades are Warren at 2% and Shakir at 2%. I'm also light as a whole on the Steelers, Browns, and Saints.
And then I have contest and draft timeline pockets where I might be light or heavy, depending on news, ADP, etc. at the time. For instance, after drafting 13% Fannin in the pre-draft contests, I mostly faded in May, June, and July. And then the last month, I caught up a ton at the end of my slows after the positive preseason news and got up to around 8% post-draft. But that means I'm going to be really heavy in the last few contests where I was in all of those slows.
The round 4-6 range for WRs has been really tough for me. There are so many guys there that I can't get enough of all of them haha. I'm at 7% Ridley and 9% Pearsall, but I'd be happy if both were higher. It was easier when Golden/Egbuka were in the 7th round, when Pearsall was at the 6/7 turn, etc.
I remember Ridley being at the 6/7 turn when the pre-draft contests opened.

I was aware that I wasn't getting much of these guys. I only did about 120 drafts. I can see where that tool would be of benefit to you given your high volume. I took a lot of Nico and CMC early on which is why I don't have much ARSB or Nabers.
The other guy I didn't mention was Gibbs. I have 8.6% but I fear he's gonna go nuclear. I ran hot in the beginning with early picks but the last two months it's basically been pick 8 or later. I was stoked the other day when I got pick two and then the guy at one took him.
