OOTV doesnt like family comedies much huh? Raising Hope and The Middle are two of the best(possibly the best outside of
1st episode is not good, it's just a setup for what's coming
2nd one is more of the same but they finally get deployed
it really starts finding its footing soon and the best episodes imo are 6 and 7 with foxhole life in the battle of the bulge
not looking good for me unfortunately - saw enough fake medieval battle fantasy tropes in the trailer to be thoroughly put off
also, while i admit this is peak pedantry, having him say wessex like he's speaking modern english instead of using the anglo saxon pronounciation tells me they paid zero attention to the very unique cultural period where the current version of england is dramatically foreign to the post norman world we know today
i just know the first minute they say pork or beef instead of cow and pig i'm going to lose it
usually i can look past this stuff if it's done for plot reasons - like with rome - but my guess is it won't be done that way
it'll probably be done like loki - which i rage quit watching the instant they introduced someone from a region of medieval france which didn't speak french until the modern era and he of course doesn't speak english for ease of viewing but speaks french with subtitles
but unlike loki, i'll likely stick with this and watch it through to the end because i'm a sucker for historical drama - even of the ham fisted variety - or as the anglo saxons would have said, pig fisted

I don't know if it would actually work, but I had this idea of them maybe doing like a Silence of the Lambs.
He gets caught, but then that New York Ripper starts killing again, so they want to use Dexter's expertise to help catch him.
Dexter - Hannibal
Det. Wallace - Starling
NY Ripper - Buffalo Bill
Probably a stretch
Screw all of this
Just have a Mads Hannibal vs Dexter season.
What if there's an alien invasion and the aliens kill one million people so Dexter's like, "I have some codes to enforce" (he took a job as parking enforcement to catch the Meter Reader Killer) and uses his skills to stop the invasion.
very interested to hear your thoughts on the pacific rewatchwas thoroughly unimpressed with original watching when it first came out - was super hyped as the band of brothers sequel and just fell flat for mebiggest issue for me was non continuity and found the few constants thoroughly unlikablebut i've been meaning to give it a rewatch with much older eyes and see it if clicks
I only watched The Pacific a couple years ago and felt about the same. It was good enough I suppose, but it just really lacked the punch that BoB had.

WTF -- Currahee is great.

BoB is goat. Think I've watched it 3 times. Saw Pacific when it came out, didn't love it and never rewatched. Watched Masters of the Air when it came out and enjoyed it more than Pacific.
Could probably do a rewatch of Pacific to really solidify my rankings as it's been a long time, but as of now it's
BoB >>>>>>>>>>>> Master of the Air >>> Pacific
this is gonna be a sick show
Episode 9 of Dexter.. Hooleeshit? If they nail the finale this is mabye the best season of Dexter yet, surpassing S4?
Can't believe its this good 12 years after that terrible finale and 4 lackluster seasons. One of the greatest TV comebacks if they keep this up.
Peacemaker S2 was pretty good, John Cena is obviously the standout.
Alien:Earth really grabbed me in episode 3, yet to watch 4.
Im loving the return of these weekly episode releases again, like before the streaming days.
Also (re)watch The Pacific, or better yet read 'With The Old Breed' goddamnit, best WW2 memoir out there
Latest Dexter episode was awesome and by far the best of the season, truly surprised me at how good it was.
Yeah, it went exactly where I wanted it to go, but I wasn't even close to predicting how it got there.
Spoiler
By that I mean Leon finding out about him being BHB. Once Dinklage was introduced, I've been waiting for it to happen.
I dont think the show has ever been recognized in any way, but Devito deserves an Emmy for being the golden bachelor
For anyone thats not watching it yet Alien Earth is seriously reaching top tier for Sci Fi/World building shows
Also really liking Alien: Earth. Solid sci-fi/horror and the lead actress has those big, expressive eyes. Even the end of episode music is great.
Agree on Alien: Earth. Very well written and acted.
One of the better Dexter season finales we've had in awhile. At least in comparison to the last 2 (Season 8 and New Blood), but I felt it played it pretty safe overall.
Still a great finale though, best Dexter season since season 4 of the original series imo.
"Point him out to me"
Cut to waiter enveloped in smoke 15 ft away.
That was admittedly a stupid scene that made me lol
There are scenes like that in every episode. They clearly think their audience are idiots but I love the show.
alien earth
seems good. but I'm trying to watch it rn, and can't understand it. probably just cuz I'm too stupid and too high.
like I can't keep track of what a synth, hybrid and cyborg are, and who is which
Spoiler
killing kids makes for some drama
