MGM - Gold - How long does the poker upgrade last?

I was hoping some of y'all could help me out with clarifying the MGM Gold Upgrade via 150 hours of play.
I hit my 150 hours for 2024 between December 1-5 while playing at the Aria and they upgraded my card to Gold. I was under the impression this would last me through 2025 just as if I had earned the 75,000 tier credits.
However, I went to book my upcoming trip and noticed I was downgraded to Pearl (I have the MGM Credit Card). I called the Rewards help line and the representative just continued to stop me saying it was a courtesy grant therefore it reset on January 31 along with tier credits.
Is that really how it is intended to work? Or was it entered incorrectly? She continued to cut me off and eventually said I needed to contact the Poker Room. Should I try calling back to speak with another representative? Or am I mistaken regarding the duration?

I think it's a rolling average for the past 6 months and comps expire after a year. So it sounds like most of your hours happened before July 31, 2024.
I was told on Feb 1 it automatically upgrades you if you have 150 hours from the prior feb. Otherwise you have to have them manually do it and it would be good until the next feb 1. so if you had it upgraded dec 2024 it would be good until feb 1 2025.
