The murder of Charlie Kirk

Can we all admit that the majority of extremism is coming from the left over the last handful of years?

Apparently they j

Stephen King was wrong. Not sure why you think that would sway me?You guys aren't getting away from the objective fact that there are thousands of hours of Kirk podcasts available to everyone on the public where he is being incitefulYou can have nostalgia for the guy doing man in the middle debates in 2018 but you have to accept the fact that he change after starting the podca

so wait he checked the video, admitted what i told you was absolutely correct (he was correcting a theological point), apologized, and you STILL THINK Kirk said he wants to stone gay people?

Now being rightwing is "incitement". While celebrating a political assassination isn't. You just lost your mind.

It shouldn't be hard to attack his extremism on abortion, and the dumb ukraine takes, without going fully crazy with the idea that very normal rightwing positions are "incitement" ffs.

by Crossnerd m

What are you mad about exactly?

None for nothing, a mainstream newspaper op-ed whitewashing Charlie Kirk's bigotry as "practicing politics the right way" seems like a legitimate thing to be upset about.

When right wing positions are that black people are inferior, LGBTQ is an afront to god, and that women are dumb and incapable then your normal positions are distinctly inciteful

You morons want to normalize being inciteful hate filled pieces of **** and thats been the issue the entire time. Foundational issue. Literally why we insult you guys non stop

And I grew up Catholic, so I know about fire and brimstone religeous nonsense and Christianity aint that cheifs. This religeous white nationalist bullshit is objectively evil

And yall can go be evil in your own little evil circles but you want the whole country to be this brand of selfish ******ed white nationalist christo fascist clownshow and most normal people just dont want that

by coordi m

You were banned for a combination of things based on your body of work that included

abject misogyny
racism
promoting fascism (illegal in Italy btw, you should be executed)
pathological lies
and just generally being unlikable

consistently over a period of 2 years

i never promoted fascism. i am actually one of the very few actual antifascists around here (you can't do fascism with a state as weak and divided internally as the one i ask for)

by Crossnerd m

What are you mad about exactly?

We have to draw a clear line between political discourse and proselytising hatred, which Klein fails to do.

by 57 On Red m

I have no idea what you're talking about, so no change there.

Youthful rebellion is common among idiots, losers, and the unstable is such a wild take. lmao

You guys want to deny much more nuanced positions and claims about trans, black people, and women, and call ANY attempt to claim ANY measurable difference exists as illegal incitement.

That's the foundational problem, you deny observable reality and want to silence people who don't. Literally why we consider you the only actual serious threat to civilization

by Rococo m

Can't be arsed to care about what?

that a hateful paid propagandist got shot

Na chief, you said people should be able to promote nazism and thats objectively illegal in Italy

Knew it.

When is this **** going to stop lying?

Again, you didn’t read the article. The headline was in respect to his method of convincing people, not the content of his speech.

I mean…you’ve just written off most of the best music of the last 70 years as being created by idiots, losers and the unstable.

No, that's a logic fail. And successful popular musicians have tended to end up living in mansions, as was always their aim and ambition, and engaging in a great deal of imaginative tax avoidance. It's a business. Sir Mick only dropped accountancy studies when he was certain he would get richer by separating teenagers from their pocket money.

Defining yourself by opposition to your parents' values is essentially childish. It's not the same thing as simply thinking differently from your parents, which a great many well-adjusted adults manage to do without throwing tantrums.

So it's looking like this kid is an LDS member (not 100% confirmed yet, but all indicators point that way). Both parents registered Republican. He is registered with no party affiliation. Def not trans, def not a hard lefty.

So who will the right blame now?

by checkraisdraw m

His "method of convincing people" was to spew vulgar racist lies, which many people (not you, apparently) find objectionable.

Who defines youthful rebellion as β€œdefining yourself by opposition to your parents’ values”? lol Which kid has ever said β€œI believe in x because it’s the opposite of what my parents believe”?

If you sincerely meant that the people in your list of undesirables tend to rebel against their parents values and didn’t mean to imply that such rebellion casts people into those groups, then fine, but that’s not how it read.

by Luciom m

Boomer in a bubble so insane, even leftists had to admit several of those claims were objectively false and made up by radical leftists in order to insult the memory of Kirk, but you still push this horrendous false vomit anyway.

This is what you people are

Which one of those is false, and I'll edit it? I've watched most of the clips where he said these things, but if I'm wrong, I'll happily correct the post.

I'm not looking to blame the right but it should be observed that Crooks and this guy were raised up as deeply right wing individuals who we are supposed to believe had a rapid and intense radicalization to the violent left

It raises questions for me

I suspect everyone in this forum would agree that Clarence Thomas was a DEI nomination.

I'd say he is better classified as a political nomination. He is a Yale law grad who is extremely loyal and extremely ideologically driven by Rightwing principles. Those types of people, who can be used as operatives on the court, don't grow on trees. Political extremism isn't super common in the top 3 law schools. They are like 95% just generically pro establishment. Thomas had a real axe to grind against the Left. If I was an arch conservative looking to appoint someone for political reasons I would go with him over some mealy mouthed regular person who was at the top of his class instead of the middle.

He was referring to debate and organizing people democratically. When people no longer have access to that, the inevitable result is violence. It’s a warning against making dissent illegal, which is what Trump and others who don’t respect the first amendment want to do.

Do you disagree that normatively speaking, people ought to settle their differences through debate and political organizing rather than through violence?

Please can someone explain the apparently anti gay inscription if he was a leftist? Serious question.

by Rococo m

I am a little disturbed by how rapidly "enhanced" photos of the suspect, especially "enhanced" photos of the suspect's shirt, emerged on the internet. I obviously have no problem with law enforcement using the latest technology to enhance the quality of photos in the hope of identifying murder suspects. But a lot of the enhanced photos I have seen look more like deliberate ma

Let me know your hat size I can get you fitted up for the tinfoil special. I got a guy.

Apparently his inscriptions are well known 4chan meme / posts and slurs. I don't know 4chan, that's just what I'm reading so far.

I think being a bigoted demagogue is not the correct way to practice politics, but I understand many people here have a different point of view.
