Hero’s Thoughts
Preflop:
• Folding too nitty with AQs vs rec 3-bet.
• 4-bet feels too loose (would be committed vs jam).
• Flatting risks UTG1 overcalling and getting sandwiched.
• Take “low variance” option → flat.
Flop:
• If I check, reg may stab and keep barreling, putting me in a guessing game.
• Check-raising seems like an overplay.
• Betting small feels safer.
• When raised, reg can have:
• Value: sets (QQ, TT, 99), straights (KJ), 2p (QT).
• Semi-bluffs: QJ, JT, Ax♠x♠ (which still have big equity vs AQ).
Facing a tough decision with a strong but vulnerable hand.
Also, how do I play this spot better in the future?

I dunno but I'm folding to the 3bet and folding to flop raise
flop betting smaller
Preflop I'm super likely to 4bet or fold ... yeh, AQs is a great calling hand except when 1-2 randoms 3bet EP opens and a call OOP and a random hoodie is behind us with a giant stack and likely a tiny clue about wtf he is doing, so will overcall stupid ranges but can maybe bluff and has position and chips.
Just need way more reads on BB than those given. Esp. when he 3bets small like this.
Also the obvious question about the guy on your left is how does he have 600bb? Does he spew call UTG opens a lot? Does he never bluff but has been running like god by keep calling KJ EP and hitting the nuts? He is repping like TT/99 for value.
Flop I probably check, mostly because lots of runout are bad for us. If the 9 was a diamond, I might bet small but check is still fine.
After betting flop I wouldn't be shocked if you were ahead, but it's so hard to call at 1-2 without reads.
V can easily do this with a bunch of Jx and he might well have way too many of them ... and then there's flush draws. But lots of 1-2 fish will just have us destroyed so often.
If I didn't care about the money and had any inclination that V wasn't playing like population I might call flop and donk shove, or check/shove, any brick turn. In general would rather have 4bet preflop though.
b/f is ok once you bet but you really arent supposed to bet very much on this flop given ranges at play. finding it kind of difficult to come up with an executable flop strategy but global bet freq is around ~17% for you depending on if i allow it just a small size or a small size and a relatively larger size and your combo doesn't bet that much. i think you are vastly overestimating the stregnth of your hand on this board and underestimating how often utg1 (and bb for that matter) is supposed to connect. you have a hand that wants to put in 1 bet vs 1 opponent here lol. if you check and btn stabs and bb continues you fold, if btn bets and bb folds you call and fold turns unimproved. you should have other stronger hands both from an equity standpoint and an absolute sense in your range with this line. 3 ways on this board vs the utg1 caller in particular you need to be really careful here
obviously dont fold to the 3b for this size
4Bet pre $50
You don’t have to go large, but you need to keep the initiative and not cap your range. I don’t know if you still get raised pre-flop, or on the flop, but now I don’t mind folding if you do.
No reads, but don’t give the big stack the impression you don’t have much or you fall into the guessing game you’re in. As played, the 2pair+ is too likely on this wet board, it’s a fold.
If he's really a rec fish, 4bet him pre -- or just fold. I don't bother betting this flop. It's really not that great for us. I check/evaluate. As played, sigh-fold.
I would call the small 3! from the fish. Can't 4!, because his range may be too strong.
I would check the flop. The flop is superwet and both players can have combo draws. The 3-bettor could be checking an overpair on this board.
Probably have to fold to the raise, but may be ahead.
Ugly board for AQ bro. That raise from the reg is almost always nutted or a huge draw, so you’re either crushed or flipping. Easy fold and move on. Pre is fine, could 4bet small to iso the fish sometimes, but as played once he raises big here you’re done.
check flop, not even close
