I hear Zippy's chili is good.

Tried NADC burger popup at Resorts World. Extremely greasy, covered in sauce, a mess, and for my money not as good as Stay Tuned burger. I’d skip it.

Yeah, but if you think Rollin Smoke is good bbq I can't trust your take.

Stubborn Seed is right down the hall and about the same price. Go there and get the burger ASAP

Did this last night. Wow. Great burger.

The brisket in his pic looks 100x better than any brisket I've been served there - it's always been as dry as a shoe sole and obviously reheated from another day. The ribs are not bad, but everything else is really meh. They do offer a 20% discount for locals, at least at the Pawn Plaza location, if you show them your Nevada ID at the register.

I usually get the beef ribs at Rollin Smoke. It's always been good.

Yeah, I am never over there and I regret having this one instead of Stubborn Seed. Front desk guy said Summer HH probably good until Oct 1.

Yeah, it's trash -- I'd rather make the drive up to John Mull's Road Kill Grill TBH.

BigB's Texas BBQ on St Rose in Henderson has been consistently good and our go-to place off-strip, SE down (or up) on St Rose.

Open daily from 11 - 9

It is on Yelp

Gjelina was really good, better than I expected though I’m not sure why I thought it was going to be kind of mid. Everything was good to excellent.

Sea bass $63 - 9.5/10
Chorizo pizza $26 - 8/10
Roasted yams with jalapeΓ±o yogurt sauce $18 - 8/10
Arugula salad $20 - 8/10
Pistachio chocolate torte $16 - 8.5/10

Split between 3 people and was enough food, $49 each in poker comps not too bad.

Looks like Winnie & Ethel changed their menu (again), and is also now adding a more elevated dinner service along with their normal menu in the morning/lunchtime.

I hope the move signals a change in chef since there's really nothing about the their food that would suggest it's worth paying $48 for a pork chop. The food is fine, but uninteresting. It just seems like an odd move to run two types of restaurants out of the same space.

That pistachio cake looks heavenly

Went to hard hat/ stay tuned. Burger was good. Burger came with pickles, sauce, cheese and onions. Tots were excellent. Beer with a burger always hits.

$10 for a single
$12 for a double
$6 for tots.

It's a good burger for sure. If I'm in the area and want a burger, it's a great choice. I don't think I'd make the drive across town to get it though.

Second trip to Jipata. I am claiming Jipata as easily the best Thai food in Vegas. You are missing out if you don’t go there. Everything is 10/10 incredible. Dishes all $10-30.

They even make their own sour sausage in house and the skin is just perfectly crisp. Also open until 2am every night. Great after poker.

Nam kao tod
Fried pork belly
Corn tom sum
Pad kra pao
Kua kling
Sour Thai sausage

I think the most expensive dish we had was $18-19.

Thanks for the Jipata tip -- it's on my list.

They have good reviews on Yelp but a nasty Health department report last August.

There could be a cockroach on my plate and it would still be 9/10

Did they get a C in February, an A in March, and an X in August? Was the problem strictly "pests"?

I've worked in so many restaurants that get good ratings but the things I've seen are disgusting. If you are going to eat out, just be prepared for anything, such as people putting oysters in used shells and selling as fresh (people are so naive), dropping hamburger patties on a filthy floor and putting them back on the bun, and dripping sweat into the pot while licking their fingers as as they taste the soup.

Those are good burgers Walter.

Shalom Japan in New York offers both deli and Japanese dishes concurrently. I've never been there , but I probably tried a location in DC or Silver Springs in my somewhat hazy recollections. I definitely recall the name and concept from somewhere other than NY, but recall the food wasn't anything extra noteworthy.

Is there a location in Las Vegas ?

Jipata looks expensive

Cheap:

Incredibly reasonable/inexpensive. Cannot wait! My mouth is watering.

The smoked brisket kung pao is a must try. They were sold out when I was there the other night but it was also 1AM.
