He is absolutely overreacting. Here are a few things to consider:
- They have your whole history. You're not going to go invisible on Sauron when what Sauron wants to know is your affiliation, not your real time location.
- Roccoco said it himself - he is not significant. There isn't the manpower needed to review every American posting history and don't tell me AI can do it unless you have actually tried to use AI to get falsifiable answers.
- Getting everyone fired who is "on the Left" according to these knuckle scraping MAGA buffoons would (if they could achieve it which they can't) grind the country to a halt.
- Feds don't have time to exert force on all the obscure levers available to put pressure on employers. It's not like every organization is so susceptible to bullying. Kimmel got fired because the government controls some merger. If Roccoco is a lawyer what can they do to him? I'm not saying there is nothing, but it's not so easy to do in every case. If you have your own practice they can't just go after your license. What can they do? If they put their minds to it, yes, I'm sure they could come up with something but it some cases it will take people with subject matter expertise to apply pressure. The can only do that to so many individuals.
Lastly, why, as any level of poker player, would you not see this for the bluff it is? Why would you let these clowns do the poker equivalent of making cheap money off you. Because what they are really trying to do is intimidate people and get people to self censor. Don't fall for it. It is a huge bluff.

You can't just bypass all existing law and procedure and give the state bar a list of suspected libs and take away their licenses. Have you ever f'ed around with lawyers? Every little thing you do is contested. You're going to conduct thousands of hearings and present evidence when the bar is only equipped to handle so many cases?
Even McCarthyism was largely focused on communism or their notion of communism. There was a supposed minority threat in the form of foreign infiltration. Libs are like the majority. What are you even charging them with? This is just a big bluff. Sure they will go after some big names where it is easy, like Kimmel, but before you slap that duct tape over your mouth just compare this to McCarthyism and see how much more bureaucratic expansion this would entail. It isn't feasible in the least to go after some poster like Roccoco. And the fact that he would even be scared is why he isn't the best poster. He isn't the best thinker. Trump has been violating laws left and right. The Supreme Court has said they are fine with most of his law breaking. A few times they have confirmed the illegality of his actions but not prevented them from continuing or offered any recourse for parties damaged by his actions.
Trump could easily call a Republican governor and tell him that Rococo, Esq should lose his license. The governor calls the state law board and tells them to take away his license, threatening them if necessary.
Until he's shown not to be able to do something, everyone should assume that Donald Trump can now do anything he wants to do. And I mean absolutely anything (he has said so himself). There is no one with any power who is willing to hold him accountable, and the possibility of him ever being held accountable for anything is dropping daily.
If Trump wants to shoot someone in the middle of Fifth Avenue, he can do that. If he wants to send the Navy Seals to kill his political enemies, he can do that.
If he wants to get a handgun, walk across the floor of the US Capitol and shoot Nancy Pelosi point blank in the head, he can do that. I don't think the Secret Service (SS, lol) would stop him from doing so. I don't think he would even be punished for doing that. The Supreme Court has said he's immune from prosecution. I don't have enough faith in the Senate (not even the Democratic Senators at this point) to remove him from office.
