First break my 40K starting stack is down to 39.4k. Totally card dead. Only dragged two parts the first 2 hours. Still having Wi-Fi issues so I can't post pics right now.

Consider rebooting your phone? I'm in IT, I know what I'm doing...

But serially, nice to have a TR to sweat!

Got the Wi-Fi sorted my unimpressive first break stack.

Run it up!

GL

Hey, being card dead and going down that little means you're playing well. Now get cards and being the onslaught!

Second break looking little bit better. I started chipping up with a few small pots. Then I hit a big double up with pocket aces versus pocket kings. That probably put me up to the chip leader at my table. But that didn't last long as I just started leaking chips again and really didn't get much going after that. But I am sitting in pretty good position with 94.3 k. Average stack is about 63k. Just got to stay focused and patient.

Gogogogo!!!

Third break still holding well. Registration finally ends at the end of this break. Sitting with about 150k average stack is 97k.

How many runners?

118. 47 left

Fourth break in good shape. 25 players left and we play down to 15. Sitting on a stack of 244k and the average is 188k. Hopefully I can survive this thing I've got a better stack than everyone but one at my table.

Still hanging on but just barely. I don't think I want a hand since the last break. We're down to 17 15 advance. I'm sure but there's a lot of people shorter than me. Sitting at 170k. This is exhausting. I'm both starving and tired.

The bubble finally burst at about 11:00 and I made it! I don't think I've ever been so card dead in the tournament and still made the money. I do think I played some of my best poker though. I made some moves and pick some spots and that's the only way I survived. But the beginning and end of the tournament was just totally nothing.

So I bag a meager 140k. There were at least a couple of people that have less than that.

It's not ideal but I am in the money with probably 20 ish or so big blinds. The tournament restarts 11:00 a.m. wednesday. This is the first time I've ever bagged chips and made it to the second day in a tournament. So that's a personal accomplishment that I've always wanted to do.

I am pretty exhausted but I'm not very sleepy. I'm also hungry but I don't really want to get anything to eat. I've got a bag of Chex mix up in the room which I just popped open and then wash that down with a couple of beers. Then hopefully I get a good night's sleep tonight and probably play the Wynn daily. I just need to relax for a little bit before I go to bed.

Congrats on the bag!

Great job!

Pick a good spot, get an early double Wednesday, and anything is possible!!

Well done! Bagging is a lot of fun, even if I sometimes forget how to seal the bag and have to let the dealer do it for me :p

And if you have 20 bb, that is more than enough to make a good run. I can think of at least 2-3 times where I have arrived on day 2 with 10-20bbs and still outlasted 60-70 people and almost made it to the FT.

Yep, 20bb is just fine and gives you a little time to be patient

Well done and good luck on Weds

Great job!

Run it up tomorrow, Mr B!

No. Dont really plan on playing there other than daily.

If you didn't know, you can satisfy the play requirement by playing one tournament per day of the poker rate. IIRC playing 2 tournaments in 1 day gets you the poker rate for 2 days.

Yeah, Im not doing that

Slept a little better and a little longer last night but still not enough but I did manage to stay in bed past 6:00 a.m. after getting cleaned up a little bit I walked over to the Grand Lux for breakfast. I got one of my usuals I must have every trip to Vegas the French toast. It was delicious.

After breakfast I wandered around for a little bit to get some steps in and then decided to head back to the Encore to hit the pool. I'm at the pool right now and it's at the delightful morning.

Plan to stay out here a little bit longer before going and getting cleaned up for the noon daily at the Wynn. I do want to get a few more steps in before the tournament starts and I also want to go over some of the key hands from last night once I get back up to the room.

Just spent a relaxing hour down by the pool. Now I'm going to get cleaned up and try to get some steps in before the new attorney. That French toast this morning really hit the spot is I hadn't eaten since those eggs benedict the morning before. Unless of course you count the half a bag of Chex Mix that I ate and a couple of beers. Hopefully I will be leather-assing all day today again and miss any kind of dinner opportunity.

In yesterday's tournament I was his card dead as I have ever been. Obviously I did have to make a few hands though to get to where I got to. The few that come to mind were the initial double up when I had the Aces versus kings. That got me into a more comfortable situation after being short stacked up until that point. But I think in the entire tournament I only showed down maybe four or five hands. My biggest hand was a sneaky full house. I had pocket sevens and the Flop came A7 Maybe deuce. So I hit my set. Initial razor that 8K guide to her left called he was kind of crazy and I raised 25k. Initial better folded and crazy guy called. Turn brought an ace filling me up. I was really hoping this guy had an ace. But he checked the turn and I decided to check behind. I was really hoping he was going to fire on the river but he checked again. So I grabbed a stack of 5Ks and bet 35k. He thought for a second and called. He didn't have an ace but he did hit a flush on the river although not the nut flush. So I guess that was a good card for me. The only other hand I really remember was picking off a short stack desperation shove with Ace jack. The rest of the time I was just trying to steal parts or blinds and look for situations where I could get the other guy to fold and most of the time I did.

The play in the early levels of this tournament I would say up through level 6 were atrocious. Way too aggressive everyone was overbetting there were six seven way pots raised pots and it seemed like everybody was just an action player. But eventually all of those action players were gone and by the time we got towards the bubble everyone was really tight and serious.

Hope I can get some run on wednesday. And looking forward to today's tournament and hopefully can make a run like I did yesterday. Now I need to go and get some steps in before that tournament starts because hopefully I won't get a chance after that.

I pleased to know that I am not the only one who struggles with the sealing of the bag.
