Right now Trump is in power, do you agree? And he has sued multiple print and online outlets for defamation, and settled multiple lawsuit for millions of dollars. This creates the feeling with online outlets that they have to play ball or be faced with retaliation. In this climate, I put zero stock into what Jim Jordan has “uncovered” with youtube.
Where I will agree is that the Democrats have been censorious and should have some kind of come to Jesus moment about being the party of free speech and not talking out of both sides of their mouth on these issues.

I'm not against fighting fascism, even with violence. And I shouldn't have put them in the same bag as far right fascists because it's a loose connected group that include people who are fighting for more rights.
But it's also going to include those who are just fighting for their own brand of authoritarian rule, because I've read and talked politics with them for a very long time. It also doesn't matter how much power the communist liberals have or anyone else. It all comes down to who's solutions will actually help the 99% of the people in this country the best.

People talking about this aren't being honest when they discuss communism. It's NEVER been implemented anywhere in the history of the world. It's just theory, and it's theory that isn't based on the reality of how people function.
But unlike the theory of communism, fascism has actually been fully implemented, and it's done great harm wherever this has occurred.

I'll throw you a bone that Marxist Communism sounds somewhat appealing in theory but I'll disagree with you that Communism has never been tried before. Stalin absolutely implemented a state based on communist ideology that survived for decades and achieved major industrial and geopolitical goals. You can say that it fell short of true Marxist Communism but that is literally the most important discussion to be had.
Because there is an extraordinarily important caveat between that particular ideologically sounding strong in theory and having that system work in the same manner in real life. And that is an extremely important issue to understand and to attempt to solve before engaging in said system.
This isn't the right thread for this but if you generally feel that you have some insight on how we can manage to successfully implement that system to work for us that is better than the status quo, feel free to argue in one of Nut Nut's 10 threads on the topic and I'll argue with you there. But it won't be very often.
