2024 Fantasy Football Thread
Welcome to the 2024 fantasy season, where I'm officially addicted to best ball. I've been drafting since the end of Jan
Need to fade 12.8 from Jameson Williams to avoid an 0-3 start, quite the pickle when you are also a Lions fan.
Turns out taking a QB early and using a 3rd on Kittle and a 5th on Rashee Rice not a winning formula early on
Even if Kittle was healthy this roster was doomed from the beginning. You can't spend that much draft capital on a QB and TE and then draft a guy in the 5th who is suspended for 6 games. You were already behind at the other skill positions as it was.
It’s a good trade in overall value for you and for team needs
I usually hate trading away the best player in a trade though, but you’re not losing the trade so if you want to go for it.
I personally would try to trade a less strong wr for a less strong rb to a team that needs wr depth
Gross day today.
Lost 3 by 8 combined pts
Won 1 by .4 pts (assuming no stat corrections)
DFS is hard. I had Andrews in the captain in 10 out of 25 contests and I only broke even tonight. I had Gibbs and Montgomery in the same line up in several contests. It's tough to win these high scoring games.
Needed 10.2 from Jamo was looking really good after that first drive lol.
Those QB rooms seem fragile. But I haven't given the contest much thought. Seems like if you mostly try to avoid weeks 5-8 byes, you'll probably have a good chance.
Looks like weight of importance is w8 > w5 > w7 > w6.
Get wrecked Dangeruss
21% Dart in SF. Let's go!
I have 10% pre-draft, 8% post nonSF, and 13% in SF.
9 % pre, 5% post, 23% sf
lol
I assume y'all are aware of the website below, but in case you're not, it's way better than the UD interface for tracking. I think all contests are live now, except maybe The Marathon and The Sprint.
Overall, across all of my contests, including DK, I'm advancing 233 total when the expectation is 227. I'd love to be between 250-300 when it's all said and done and certainly hope I don't end up much lower than 227. We'll see how it goes.
Oh nice! I knew it had bbm, but didn’t realize it had all contests!
When you all are saying advancing teams are we still talking about best ball? Is this the % of teams currently in the top 2 of 12 man leagues (that are set to advance)?

Thanks for the advice! Would it be an upgrade if I asked for G Wilson and Irving instead of Myers and Irvin? its a non ppr league

Wilson’s definitely an upgrade over Meyers. I’d be shocked if they’d do that though
I haven’t played a standard league ever though so I honestly don’t know if ARSB is worth more than Bucky in that format
One reason I chose Mathology is because I knew he'd be chasing the regular season leaderboard, in theory resulting in higher advance rates. He's also just a good drafter. He had the highest scoring regular season team last year. He has 9 teams in the top 10,000. Expectation for a max drafter is 2.23.
Looking at his top scoring teams are interesting. He was RB and QB heavy. He did not attack WR that hard early. His top 3 teams are all 3 QB teams with Josh.
462.30 points in 57th place.
459.48 points in 86th place.
456.22 points in 124th place.
