The 2 min warning in OT is so stupid.

capitalism. you get more commercials

They keep saying the time left like it matters. GB has all the time they want to score.

What in the world?

I don't think Tirico understands the OT rules. Don't they get another period if they haven't finished their first possession?

Super bonehead move averted

Scorigami strikes again.

Play some more, you pussies!

hey sick, i bet $8,000 on a 40-40 tie

MOTHER****ER

GB deserved to lose that just for Love being a dumbass

So if the first time has a 10 minute field goal drive, the game's over?

Next OT improvement should be going to penalty kicks

lolboys
ftp

very fitting

How many game tying FGs as time expires has the league seen?

I don't understand why they wouldn't extend the OT to another period during the second team's drive. They said they would have done it in the Super Bowl for the Chiefs. Are the regular season rules different?

I think that's only in the playoffs suzz.

Ya. Cant tie in playoffs. I remember Denver and Baltimore played a double OT playoff game when Peyton was the Broncos QB.

So glad I just wasted almost 4 hours to watch a **** house tie.

Okay I found the rule: https://operations.nfl.com/the-rules/nfl...

Seems like a big disadvantage to going second in the regular season, as GB almost demonstrated. You could get the ball back with very little time and have to burn your TOs on defense, or never get the ball.

It will take one instance of the first team burning 9:45 on a scoring drive, and no one will ever pick second again. And the NFL might tweak the rule.

If going second is still an advantage with these regular season rules, then it has to be a gigantic advantage in the playoffs where the second team can always finish their drive.

In short, lol Kyle Shanahan.

It's a huge advantage to go second in the playoffs. LOl@ shanahan.

The only way I could see going first being better in the regular season is in some crazy blizzard game where teams are running the ball all game.

So much this, to infinity^infinity

Him talking postgame proved how much of a ****ing dumbass he really is.

BAL is now 2-6 in games where Henry has < 15 carries.

New thread title suggestions?

No.

The only wrinkle is if the team that has first possession does a 10 minute drive and scores as time expires, the game ends in a tie because the other team never got a chance at possession.

Does it? Kind of weird if true

For the regular season I wish they'd just go back to the old rules (first score wins). Hate seeing ties in the standings.
