I'm not sure I see the point of the jam? Only better calls and worse folds. Not many "worse" jacks he should have -- and a few that beat you. Maybe he folds a straight, but that hand seems unlikely?

What is purpose of jam? What better folds? None. So now what worse calls and what draws call?

Trips are never the nuts. Jam seems optimistic. Might value own yourself. Dep3nds on a read of V

yea , fair points

I guess my thought process at the time was that his same bet on turn was weird & weak , so I felt like I had the best hand
Could be JQ, J9, TQ, something like pair + straight draw, or worse trips + straight draw that could call a jam at this stack level
So felt like likely having the best hand was worth a raise , and the stacks kind of made it awkward to raise and not jam

Spoiler is he had JK and turned a boat

you have trips and put in 1/3 of your stack so you're committed, only question is how much you lose

i dont think cr is nec bad but id probably go smaller and then call it off. seems like a cooler to me. he could still have QJ and J9, J8s, even KQ sometimes.

$300 deep you’re going to get stacked here. Unfortunate but happens.

You’re beat too often. Once BTN raises flop and keeps betting turn, your trips aren’t good enough. Fold turn.

lol, BTN would have played the same on a brick turn.

Call turn play rivers. He might not stack us if we’re beat.
