2-7 Books, sites, etc.
Iβm looking to branch out from Hold βEm and 2-7 is calling my name.
Iβve watched some videos and have a mixed game book, but I donβt know how else to learn.
Iβm particularly interested in more advanced concepts. Any advice on where I can study up on this?
Iβm interested in single draw, triple draw, limit, and no limit. I just want more in-depth information.
Also, Iβm in California and never see this variant played. Is there anywhere to play online for free or something just to get my feet wet?
I would like to take a crack at this in summer 2026 but donβt want the WSOP event to be my first rodeo with 2-7

Anyone with recommendations on how to learn more?
So I read Dylan Linde's Mastering Mixed Games, which I think is quite good, and also Ken Lo's A Poker Player's Guide to Mixed Games, which is also good but I like it less overall. Linde's book I think is an easier start for a total newb.
When you go summer 2026 the Orleans usually has a 2-7 tourney before the WSOP one so you can get some practice there.
I have also been looking for somewhere online to play 2-7 and other games free, and didn't find any I liked, so I'm making my own (I know this sounds like a shill). I've used GPokr (https://gpokr.com/#R-O-B-B-Y) to teach friends how to play NLHE, I kinda want a site with that kinda vibe where you can just drop in on browser and learn to play all the games you can find in the Dealer's Choice event at WSOP. I work full time but working on this on the weekends, I think I'll have HORSE running EOY and hopefully 2-7/draw games in January. If you're interested in receiving updates you can sign-up on the pre-launch page at AltPoker.io .
A new tool I've heard of but haven't used yet is StudFlopDraw.com and I think it's all about looking at equity scenarios / using AI to analyze various mixed game spots, could also be somewhere for you to check out.
Keep an eye out for any tourney series around you btw, occasionally they'll have mixed game events. I'm really lucky and my local casino started running a monthly HORSE tourney this year.

Chainsaw league offers 3 triple draws a day.. the thing is you have to be vouched for (trust wise ) to be able to get it.

Sweet thanks for following! I did get access to that StudFlopDraw.com site and it does seem like a useful additional study tool. Can now recommend that, but not as useful until you've played some hands and/or have hands to run in it imo
They're not super regular, but there are 2-7 games occasionally going on SwC (the BTC site). They basically have every game on their software, but not everything runs all the time.
Hit me up (DM) if you ever want to play tho. I'd love to get some 2-7 going. Doesn't matter the format and I can prolly swing just about any reasonable stake.
I'm currently in CA as well and I doubt any dealer in this state has ever dealt it lol...
RIO and GTO bots. All draw game bots/solvers are private but they exist.
SWC is good and I play a lot of draw games on there but usualy shorthanded. I have to wait for people to join in.
