It’s a large overfold spot: even in GG rec data (where the recs tend to be a bit tight in general) you can see that the overfold is incredibly large. Bear in mind as well this in BB v spots: ISO spots tend to be even more capped as they tend to open good hands that otherwise may be part of a BB flatting range.

because they fold much more than they should is it that we don't need any checks on river? I just was a bit confused because that specific hand in that line is surely good often enough for sdv.. so I wouldn't have thought of it as a bluff.
Also the hand I mean it's UTG limp and hero ISOs vs them+caller, BB folded, unless I am misunderstanding you. Maybe it'd help me to know what types of hands we are trying to get v to fold that are beating us, like Tx, Jx? cos KQ, AQ probably wouldn't limp?

It’s because the overfolds include hands which beat us: if we can bluff a hand to get a overfold and they fold hands which beat us then we always take the bluff spot.
The main issue imho in these kinda of spots is overthinking about it. Use the thinking in lines which require more thought imho for example facing a turn cbet or working out your blockers when you go for a raise etc.
I guess I just wouldn't call it a bluff because it feels like in that spot more hands that fold when we bet river wouldn't be beating us anyway. I also don't think it's intuitively obvious that is an under bluffed spot unless you've played a huge sample or studied mda. Do you think it should be obvious to that player?
