2025 NFL Game Thread – Week 5

San Francisco 49'ers @ Los Angeles Rams (-8.5)

London β Tottenham Chickens Stadiumβ 9:30am EST

Been wondering about this
I think the only conclusion here is Mac actually does need to be the 9ers starting qb and that Kyle knew exactly what he was looking for when he was supposedly who they traded the 3 1s to grab
Full disclosure: I hated so ****ing much the idea of drafting jones after using all that capital to move up and was relieved as **** when they didnβt
That being said
Mac is a more polished version of Bork. Neither of them are franchise qbs anywhere else but itβs very clear they both thrive in a shanahan offense and in both cases they are womp (remember that guy?!) but able to get it deep with relative competence
I think the only things that have been proven are:
1. The Bork contract was a titanic mistake
2. Kyle knows exactly the caliber of qb he needs and will make it happen

Mac should clearly start over Bork.
WTFBBQ do they do with Bork though after paying him? Trade him to a QB needy team!?

The answer is neither QB. I mentioned it before but the success of Mac Jones came because the Rams let him have the middle of the field. They made it easy on him. This shouldn't happen going forward. I assure you Mac Jones is not the answer.

Make no mistake. Brock Purdy is the better QB. You all are giddy over one game of Mac Jones. He's too much of puss to lead this team. Neither QB will be good enough to win a Super Bowl.

They aren't gonna get much for Purdy. I think he is clearly the starter when healthy. Trust me, people will be back to making fun of Mac Jones very soon.
This team lost Nick Bosa to injury and Dre Greenlaw and Hufanga in free agency. This is a lost year.
Browns just needed to gtfo of cleveland
These London fans are so lucky to get to see NFL superstars like Dillon Gabriel
judkins is good(at football, not so good at whatever it was... sexual assault? I cant keep track)
surprising how easily Vikings are moving the ball against browns defense
Trickeration!
oh those tricky Vikes
Good that I put $50 on Akers passing TD parlayed with Josh Oliver receiving TD
You are the only person who benefited from that TD in the world
At some point, sending these games to Europe is probably costing more fans than they're creating.
This game is everything I thought it would be
(i.e. I should have slept in)
Where the hell has the Akers TD been? I switched it over for a bit after the Oliver TD and I've seen 2 posts saying Akers got a TD, Sleeper says he got a TD but I'm watching it and it's still 7-7 with 2.30 left in the 2nd
