Jays this is what..6th postseason since 2015. I don't know anything about baseball but isn't that great?
It above average now. There's 12 teams that make the playoffs and there's 30 total teams so 40% would be average.
But that the optimistic way of seeing them. In that stretch hey haven't made a world series and I think made only 1 ALCS, and prior to 2015 they had a 22 year gap.

Can't help but root for the Jays. They're like the team of the people going up against the dreaded Yankees. They've even got that fat guy.
I know the Jays org took a lot of heat for letting Teoscar go. Not so much at the time, but there was Monday morning quarterbacking after his offense caught fire in LA.
But, as a Jays fan, Teoscar showed several times in his last year with the Jays a total lack of urgency in the outfield, and was outright dogging it at times. He also struck out a ton.
The thing that may have sealed his fate was that there seemed to be a pretty casual atmosphere taking over the Jays, and there was a sense things were more about fun, trying to murder HRs, and less of an urgency about winning. I think the leadership of the Jays knew they needed to change the approach. They even got rid of the HR jacket, which I had no problem with at the time. They later brought it back, which I was good with because the message was sent and received.
Anyway, I think some of the moves the Jays made were about trying to change the mentality of the team. That, and I doubt anyone in the Jays org saw Teoscar developing into the hitter he has become.
PS, In the 'what do I know department" I was livid when the Jays traded Moreno. I thought he was the Jay's catcher of the future and that Kirk was never going to repeat the season he had and that Kirk should have been traded while he was overvalued. I thought we should keep Jansen and Moreno and trade Kirk. I was wrong on all that....lol
