flop 5c4hAc XX. 2-1 i pitch 8h n drew 7s.
turn 3h. crazy checks n i bet 300 into 800. My hand was so big I wish to cap it to 3k this street somehow. But the correct sizing should be 600, even 500 is better than 300. But the fact that my hand was so big made me size down.
river Kc. I bet 700 into 1400 to guarantee some value, but 700 is on the small side too. I obv scoop n crazy showed a smaller flush.
The better sizing would be 500 into 800 then 1200 into 1800, couldve made 700 more; or 600 into 800 then 1500 even 2k into 2k.

Hand 2: a-5 razz
Mike noori completes one hole or two hole w a 5 showing, i call last to act before bringin w 2(47). he catches a 4 i catch a 3, likely 4 didn’t pair him so i check to him he checks back.
fifth street: he has (xx)544, I have (47)23J. I bet w my jack n 7 draw he calls.
6th: he has (xx)544A, I have (47)23J5. I played passive OOP and checks to him. Idk how he plays against me so I was pussy. his winning hole card combos are 23, 26, 36, 27 and 37. I felt it he has any of these combos I’d just be putting in 2 more bets on top of my hypothetical 6th street bet effectively dead. On river i caught a 5 and bet my wheel n got called. I think he was surprised that I have a 7 in the hole too. But the fact he completed in early position made me feel his worst starting hand is 765.

Hand 3: a-5
tilted vip opens LJ, i 3! CO w a456, obviously bottom of my three betting range but one card draw is too good to pass on; it was also clear most ppl behind me are folding. LJ 4!, i say aiyah and proceeds to the 1-1 draw. she catches a 6 to her a245 and i catch my miracle 2, went to 3! on flop, and i called her down for a very lucky chop. Unfort I ran bottom of my range into the top of her range. Most of the times she has a two card draw.

Hand 4: badeucey
Nothing too major. chopped a 3 way pot. I flatted 234 no club on button, catches 7s first draw and brick second draw. Rivered 7c. No one was pat at any point so calling for half in the end w 7dugi.

Hand 5: badugi
Game was slow and as hand started, Noori and Elezra said how nitty I am and Eli opened 235 in CO i 3! K951 in bb, followed by a splurge of comments of me finally waking up and that’s how nitty the 80/160 is played, etc. Anyway, Tiger Lu bailed me saying “just let him play tight, it’s easy to play against tight players”…. i got raised on the turn by Eli and I folded my King. He gave me an extra needle showing the 235 but it’s just a spot u often lean towards ppl not bluffing esp me possibly having a very strong pat. There is some outside factor too that makes me lean towards a snap fold - At the moment I felt he took extra long peeling the cards. There’s normally a reasonable amount of time in these auto bet auto call situations but it felt to me that he was trying hard to squeeze out a pip. if he sees a line theres no more peeling; if he sees a 3 or 4 side spade he knows he makes it. it’s only when two side or no side he would take a lil extra time. And i lean towards him having caught 4s and made a 5.

Hand 6: deuce
eli opens co, vip flats button, harman calls sb, i defend bb w 8643.
2-1-1-2.
eli bets everyone calls.
i catch another 8 and eli bets again, everyone calls and i tank fold.
The fact i have two 8 makes eli’s hand look like a 7 or 97. turns out he has 87643, so my 2 and 5 are both alive but there are 2 other ppl in the pot and turns out jen had a wheel draw. It’s good not to be sticky.

UTG sits out but she decides to straddle so everyone gets dealt in. UTG+1 raise to 3bets, I flat w AAAd9d9. Yes, i was dealt top boat. New guy indian kid calls LJ, straddle defends. flop K8K. I bet everyone call. The only notable draw was UTG1 who drew 1 - she made a flush! On turn straddle check raises me and UTG UTG1 n I go to 5bets. On river I bet they call. I only saw utg had a King, didn’t see her whole hand - cuz at the moment I was wondering what utg1 had - apparently she drew 1 n made a flush. What a tough spot!

Hand 3: drawmaha high
vlogger limps HJ, aggro lady 2bets button, i defend AAT89ds. flop KJ5 i have a 1bdfd which happens to be my ATsuited. so i drew two but didn’t catch two pair. BU continued betting the Ten turn after drawing only one. I sit there with a lonely pair of aces and knowing I am never scooping since she most likely has two pair and also likely to have QQ w a 9 or ace OR top set KK. I made what consider a standard fold and called it a day.

Degen Moment

i went to the poker room. got 4 flags. texted my host prior, asking if she’s in for work, hoping she can see me bet 20k.

i walk to crockford, straight to the high limit tables, past the host office, felt like i saw my host. I backtrack a couple steps, waved at her through the window.

she came out of the side door, i told her im about to go check in, but i wanna play a hand of bacc first.

she got stopped by two other guests by the host office as i take a couple more steps forward and go to the nearest bacc table, seeing it’s a new shoe, like always.

i toss my imperial card to the pit boss and look back seeing my host talking to someone else.

I sit down in my normal seat and take out the four grey chips from my pocket, squaring them up in my hand, set in front of me on the beige felt and push them forward to the spot 5 (there is no spot 4 as 4 sounds like Die in chinese) for the player bet where i often place my bets.

The pit boss hands me back my players card, before the dealer asks just one shot? I nod and adjust the string on my fanny pack slightly, getting ready to squeeze.

cards come out, with dealer saying good luck, i peel a line in the first card; with a bit disappointment, i peel the corner of the second one hoping for a dot to guarantee some points with 4 through nine. Unfortunately it was blank, i flip over the card and it was a deuce.

dealer turns over banker hand, i see a bunch of dots on both cards, followed by the pit boss’s hissing gasp. I figured the banker had T9, T8, 99 for a natural, or T7, 98, 88, 97, which would put me as a massive underdog.

I know I’m looking at the cards but my brain is not processing. A second later, I realize banker had two tens for zero point so I am temporarily ahead and both me and the dealer will get a third card.

The pit boss gasp signifies a good understanding of bacc as my 2 point is such an underdog vs two four sides, but gladly there was no 9 there.

I receive my third card. Although it doesn’t matter too much what I draw because banker can get a monkey n i win barring an 8, I still hoped for a two or three side to put me as a big favorite, again, barring an 8.

I wanna say I peeled fairly fast in real life time, but it was a long sweat as I look down at a blank corner once again. I turn over another deuce for 4 point as my final score.

Now the dealer turns over the banker’s third card.

I focus intently on the card, fully expect it to be a two or three side for me to lose 20k. It’s only happened too many times before.

Now, most dealers turn the card over facing the player, but for the life of me, I can’t remember the orientation; I just recall seeing a bunch of dots again!

I realize it was a Ten again as i feel the confirmation from the dealer and the pit boss that I indeed have a winner.

Dealer mentions paying out flags as a formality and pit boss confirms and tells me good job. I grab the 8 greys and said I gotta check in.

I turned around said bye to my host as she asked me in surprise u done? i flashed my chips at her and said Im going to check in.

I took out my phone took a picture of my hand holding the chips and sent it to a couple ppl, then headed to the pokerroom to finish the remaining 4 hours for the NAPT freeroll.

pretty sure i got shorted $25 at craps but it was such an offputting environ i didn’t press about the issue.

1 - i bought in for 9k and the pitboss satired on it not being 10

2 - i was waiting for dice cuz cant cut line of ppl who's been at the table, pit boss told one of the players that im waiting hence likely to be a DON'T player. Good read.

3 - when i put the quarter on DC as i start to roll, the other side of the table was cheering for me to roll as long as possible, meaning i will not be rolling a 7. hence my focus was on getting a 7 rather than tracking every factor correctly.

When i got paid out on 5 when i rolled a 7 was a black chip instead of 125 - 100 for the 150 and quarter for the quarter.

was texting Ted forrest about the incident and he encouraged me to go talk to the pit boss and can even call to see the pit boss's boss.

when i went down, table was empty, the dealer who mispaid me is getting pushed and the reliever pit boss was there. he gave me my mgm card i left there and i explained the situation to him. he called his boss and the boss of pit boss came over i described the situation in super details providing all the numbers and he asked just $25? i said ye. he told the dealer to give me a green.

You know what this makes think of?

(1) I effectively stood up to the bully aka the casino/the pit boss and I won. But I think back to the time of being reported of sexual harrassment and being a bad TA by those freshman chinese bitches in my class. They can claim they stood up to the bully (me) and they won by getting me fired from the position. No justice.

(2) When I went to court with my ex landlord on the money she borrowed but didn’t pay back. I could not go into excruciating detail to the judge on how that person is super violent and threatening in a private setting. I filed a complaint to Gavin Newsom later but never heard back. The bitch just gets away with so many things cuz the justice system is ****ed up.
