What evil has fallen over our nation that our political dialogue is 99% trolling of the other side and that we elect and admire someone because he is an effective troll ?

I guess I get the contempt for our media and Congress that Trump exudes. They are contemptible institutions.

But we all suffer from that, save for a few selfish bastards who get their rocks off by intentionally dividing us to distract from our deeper ills.

We have a class war .... a few haves and a rapidly growing population of people getting closer to the edge. That's the problem we need to unite around.

We need a unifier, not a divisive troll.

We had a divisive troll in Joe McCarthy in the 50's.

His venom and fear mongering was like a disease that captured the country for a time. At some point someone stood up to him and that plague wore off.

Trump has another dimension to him. It's like he knows exactly which strings to pluck to summon the worst in us. To put us at each other's throats.

What is it about him that makes him so irresistible ? Are we that addicted to notions of virtue ? Of good and evil and needing enemies and scapegoats to blame in order to summon the anger to change things ?

I'm going to raise my hand and say that I don't want a civil war. Despite the fact that I don't support the man himself, I don't see Trump supporters as my enemy.

Let's have a variety of states or regions each with their own character. If there are big clumps of people who are opposed to abortion and want everyone to have an AR-15 .... let them know which states welcome that and give them the option of dwelling among people they feel most comfortable with.

If it's so bad that we hate each other, then let's split the country in two or three and have an amicable divorce. That way, you don't have to have anything to do with the people you spend all this time trolling and we'll each have to contend with the reality of being governed by people who won't be able to spend all of their time blaming the opposition.

I don't like Democrats either. They no longer compete for my vote and all they do in order to try and get me to vote for them is to fear Republicans. If we each take the other party out of the question, they won't be able to use that tactic any longer. They'll become accountable to do something good.

As far as I'm concerned, both parties are part of the same divisive theater group. They no longer campaign on what good they have to offer .... it's all about trolling the other side.

It’s the 1% vs the 99%, everything else is distraction.

Important documentary about Epstein that everyone needs to watch:

The question is whether they realize this. Now obviously, some of them do - but do they realize it as a group. Since they own about half the world, this is a critical question.

The Epstein case also seems to tell a tale of a culture that is at odds with a healthy way to run the world. Even for the people not inclined towards thinking in conspiracies or hot takes, we see still see clear signs of special treatment, likely backroom deals, and a justice system which favors money and connections. Not to mention elected officials, bureaucrats and appointees who repeatedly are caught in a web of lies and a system of checks and balances failing to sanction them for it.

That’s why they’re building massive doomsday bunkers and island compounds. They know what they’re doing.

Zuckerburg has like a 5k sq ft Fallout 4 style vault that he can go to and live quite comfortably with like 50 bedrooms and a racquetball court if **** hit the fan.

The man and his ladies will be just fine.

Democrats just pulled an unexpected move that
should have Donald Trump and Mike Johnson HIDING!

Funny how most criminals have terrible memories

Andrew has incriminating evidence on the orange imbecile?

The following exchange cited in the CNN article is wild:

In a third email released by the Oversight committee and viewed by CNN Wednesday, Wolff — who published a book on Trump’s West Wing in 2018 — wrote Epstein with the subject line “heads up” on December 15, 2015. That was the day of a CNN Republican primary debate, but there is no mention of Epstein in the transcript.

“I hear CNN planning to ask Trump tonight about his relationship with you–either on air or in scrum afterwards,” Wolff reportedly wrote to Epstein.

Epstein, according to the email, responded, “if we were able to craft an answer for him, what do you think it should be?”

Wolff answered, “I think you should let him hang himself. If he says he hasn’t been on the plane or to the house, then that gives you a valuable PR and political currency. You can hang him in a way that potentially generates a positive benefit for you, or, if it really looks like he could win, you could save him, generating a debt. Of course, it is possible that, when asked, he’ll say Jeffrey is a great guy and has gotten a raw deal and is a victim of political correctness, which is to be outlawed in a Trump regime.”

This is a weirdly candid conversation for Epstein to be having with a journalist as eager for celebrity as Michael Wolff. And it is a weirdly sympathetic and supportive email for Wolff to be sending someone like Jeffrey Epstein.

If anyone wants to know what Epstein and the Maxwell family is all about you should watch Whitney Webb on you YouTube. The sex blackmail was just a side hustle. He was a financial terrorist working for some of the biggest players out there. Maxwell's family developed the software used by all our intelligence agencies. NSA, FBI, CIA. Epstein aquired his wealth via Trump, Wexler, and another billionaire I can't remember. Peter Theil was also heavily involved with Epstein. Epstein wasn't an anomaly. There were many like him working with Mossad. Our gov't is in full knowledge of Israel having backdoors spying into all our intel.

Nothing will ever come out because it would implicate EVERYONE.

another billionaire I can't remember

Was it a Swiss financer/banker? As you say, they were there to move huge amounts of money around when governments/organisations very, very much did not want to be connected.

“The cover-up is worse than the crime”

“Child rape is not so bad because at least we can say Merry Christmas,
and boys aren’t playing in girls’ games, and brown people are being deported.”

What happened to the "Q- anon" people who were so worried about child sex trafficking
and thought that Trump was going to uncover all of them and put them in prison?
Now that they know Trump was involved, I guess they don't care anymore.

Really not. The software in question, PROMIS, was developed by Inslaw in the US. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Inslaw The publisher Robert Maxwell, Ghislaine's father, has been alleged, by a single rather peculiar Israel-obsessed Welsh author now long dead (Gordon Thomas, a cousin of the poet Dylan Thomas), to have promoted a bugged version of PROMIS to various governments, allowing Mossad access to any such system, but there's no backing for this and it was many decades ago anyway. Robert Maxwell was some sort of Israeli agent of influence, hence his semi-state funeral on the Mount of Olives after he fell off his yacht, but of course he was facing ruin when he died and he wasn't really a very competent or effective operator, more of a failed conman with a lot of litigious bluster.

In addition, Robert Maxwell died in 1991, more than thirty years ago. LOL at thinking that a software that was developed prior to his death has any relevance to modern intelligence work.

do you think they werent using software to track and exterminate populations before 1991?

edit to add, just to be clear, I dont really buy into the Bknight narrative about Maxwell bc I dont think he was that important.

Are you high? I doubt in the 80s they made the software Y2K compliant....

I understood Bknight to be saying that the software was being used today. In any case, I agree with you that Maxwell was unimportant.

Maxwell's semi-state funeral was more likely down to his involvement in the 1948 war

A hint of Maxwell's service to Israel was provided by John Loftus and Mark Aarons, who described Maxwell's contacts with Czechoslovak communist leaders in 1948 as crucial to the Czechoslovak decision to arm Israel in the 1948 Arab–Israeli War. Czechoslovak military assistance was both unique and crucial for Israel in the conflict. According to Loftus and Aarons, it was Maxwell's covert help in smuggling aircraft parts into Israel that led to the country having air supremacy during the war.[58]

What he did later seems much more opaque but involvement in intelligence seems very plausible. I've no idea how important he was and am fairly sure, nor does anyone else around here.

Might want to look into his other daughter bud.

"Christine Yvonne Malina-Maxwell (born 16 August 1950) is a British Internet content pioneer and educator. She is the creator and co-founder of Magellan, co-founder of the software company Chiliad"

"Investigative Data Warehouse (IDW) is a searchable database operated by the FBI. It was created in 2004. Much of the nature and scope of the database is classified. The database is a centralization of multiple federal and state databases, including criminal records from various law enforcement agencies, the U.S. Department of the Treasury's Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (FinCEN), and public records databases. According to Michael Morehart's testimony before the House Committee on Financial Services in 2006, the "IDW is a centralized, web-enabled, closed system repository for intelligence and investigative data. This system, maintained by the FBI, allows appropriately trained and authorized personnel throughout the country to query for information of relevance to investigative and intelligence matters."
