2025 NFL Season Thread: Can Uncle Rico save the Broncos or will they be Nixed?
Greetings friends.
Those of you who know me know me as a Niners fan full of fantastical levels of vitriol and rage. I hav
The Dallas Cowboys become the 1st team in NFL history to score at least 30 points and have zero turnovers over a 3 game stretch and not have a winning record.
v Packers 40-40 T
@ NY Jets 37-22 W
@ Panthers 27-30 L
And did anyone notice Justin Fields for the Jets threw for a net MINUS 10 passing yards against the Broncos yesterday. He was 9 of 17 for 45 yards and was sacked 9 times for 55 yards. Glad I didn't get up early to watch that monstrosity.
No surprise on Callahan. Hasn't shown any competence since taking the job.
Don't expect McDaniel to get fired until the end of the year unless they think they have someone internally they will hire next year.
Please bring Belichick to the Titans
The Cowboys offense on the other hand is doing quite well this season.
They have scored 178 points this season thru 6 games.
The only other teams to score more points thru 6 games and have 2 or fewer wins?
The 1985 Bengals - 184 points
The 1961 Oilers - 181 points
The 2025 Cowboys - 178 points

Additional fun fact in this category: Daniel Jones' Colts have scored 194 points through 6 games this year.
No Colts' team has ever scored that many. Peyton Manning scored 193 in 2007.
herbie's not clutch
although tied for the lead in most game winning drives since his first start in the league, must be coincidence
only nfl qb sniffing more 4th quarter win rescues in that time frame is my kc homie standing pat on the river playing like a wynn badugi whale
if i may offer these three game sealing plays from this season alone to perhaps sway your opinion

Don't know what to make of a lot of teams this year, will probably get a better read on a lot in another six weeks. Falcons are one of them. Mysterious 30-0 blank in Carolina in the middle of 3 pretty solid wins (Commanders didn't have Daniels) and were right there with the Bucs.
Similar with Chargers, Jags, Vikings, Steelers.
Feels like we've had a lot of 1-score games so far.
fwiw Colts are leading the league in point differential (+79).
Next closest are Lions and Seahawks (+49).
They've also had a top 5 easiest schedule.
Yeah, point differential is kind of meaningless, especially in the small sample that is the NFL. They destroyed 3 definitely bad teams by 80 combined, beat 1 good team by 1, lost to 1 good team by 7, and beat 1 probably bad team by 4.
But hey, you have to win the games on your schedule.
