[Bodog/Bovada/Ignition] Unofficial Thread
This thread is to separate the Bovada-related comments and questions from the Official Bodog Support Thread, which is th
Beasting - I made $ a long time there. It's not rigged. But they have essentially no customer service. They give you a platform and that's it. I think overall they are just incompetent. Turning the games into Russian roulette isn't going to make them money because casual players on there traditionally are in and out. Them losing at a slightly less rate doesn't make nearly
Agreed, losing players is the biggest fear of any casino.
It's common knowledge ignition hates regs it's been the softest site on the web for a long time. They know this and want to keep it that way so recs have a chance. Emailing them is a waste of time they'll do what they want like always.
Less than 24 hours since I've sent the email and they have already made changes closer back to what it was. So yeah, keep not doing anything and then crying when nothing changes.
Is the cashier not working for anyone else? Like what the hell, how is this site so horrible all the time?
Who client laggin massivly lately. Becoming worse and worse, what is happening?

I don't see any changes made across any format of SNG. Honestly some of the turbo and reg speed structures would be fine if the software ran faster. What's crazy is for the speed of play/software speed....you get to level BB150 after only 15 hands of play in these ring SNGs.
The message posted by NL grinder - You left out 90% of that post. I posted that because bovada banned my account after 10 years randomly when I did nothing wrong. Their reasoning had nothing to do with poker btw. They claimed I was part of a betting syndicate in terms of sports betting, abused bonuses, engaged in fraud, etc. None of that happened. I mentioned how I lost a
Can you still play on Ignition after being banned on Bovada? I don't think so. Are you breaking their rules again by making someone else's account?
Please don't make me laugh. If the HU lobby is occupied by a syndicate, and it's always occupied during prime time, then all you can do is play only against them or join them. It's unlikely that anyone will believe that money is made in HU on reg vs reg games.
Wake up, regulars don't benefit the casino. The fish can handle it just fine on their own. You're not earning money for the room; you're taking it from amateurs by paying the room's commission. Every withdrawal you make is a blow to the poker ecology, not its development. By leaving that money in the casino, the casino will attract new players with advertising; by leaving the money with you, you'll buy yourself something new. So stop whining, pretending you're for improvements; you're only interested in your own pocket.
Same. I'm happy I tried cash games before registering any MTTs. I didn't bother playing Ignition and went over to Coin Poker instead. The hand history downloads are working again tho hurray!
When are they going to get rid of all the bots? Every MTT (at least mid stakes and above), a whole slew of them max late reg and stall every single hand, making every hand take upwards of 3-4 minutes. After a short while the average stack is like 8bbs because of this bs.
How after all this time has nothing ever been done about this?
Ignition has been that way for years. They always leave reg open too late to just not have overlays. The stalling is really worse than I remember though. I just started playing on here again after 6 months. I don't think it is only bots or colluders, now it is all regular players too. I haven't any 6-way limp stall ever street crap yet, but holy crap it's unbearable once registration closes.
Why do some poker tournaments on Bovada start players with 99,999 chips instead of 100K?
It's just their stupid way of having different formats that goes with their names; niners = 99,999, crazy eights = 88k, lucky sevens = 77k etc.
I think I've seen the 8pm $55 nightly have a 100k starting stack but only during their month-long tourney series.
NL50 - Look man. I don't care at this point to get into arguments with people who know nothing about me. I was one of bovada's all time money earners. I was down close to a million in the sportsbook. I'm not proud of this. However, when they banned me they claimed I was port of a sports betting syndicate and some other crap that wasn't true. This happened earlier this year after being on that site for a decade lol. This is completely unrelated to poker. A massive amount of money I made in the poker room I lost in the sportsbook. You'd be hard pressed to find a player who donated more than me in the long run.
I made that post to warn players that bovada's customer service is insanely awful. It's not acceptable. You shouldn't play there unless you have been there for a while and need the money to make a living. That's it.
And bovada and ignition are 2 separate sites. Same network just 2 diff sites. It doesn't matter now though. It's ****ing dead.
The 50s earlier had about 3 games running in 3 hours at prime time hours lol. In 2022, 2023 it woulda been 5/6 per hour. Pre 2020 around the same if not more the further back you go.
The reality is the traffic on the site is just dead. You'll have a few fluky periods where it spikes, but it's not consistent. They can dwindle down every game to starting stacks with 5 bb lol it won't matter. It was actually sorta busy Wed night and decent Tues night and Thurs it was awful. You never used to have random shifts like that. You'd never go 5 hours with pretty much no one playing.
The question is really what happened? Did GG poker take away a bunch of players? Is the economy this bad people can't afford to deposit? Gen Z doesn't like to drink - maybe they don't like to gamble either? Lol. Even though you got Draft kings now and all that bs.
Another note - you used to have WILD action on Friday and Sat night. Not anymore. Almost dead. Why? I think it's a combo of anxiety where guys don't go out much and also don't have money to blow off. Speculative, but covid was wild. Tons of people got stimulus checks.
It it what it is. It's nothing like it used to be. I used to play semi drunk on weekends against other drunks lol. Won some nights. Lost others. People don't leave the house now. People don't drink as much. People don't go out to movies. People don't try to date. Everything has changed. And it's all unfavorable for poker

Very interesting stories, each one better than the last.
I think if a player gets banned on one site, they're automatically banned on the entire network. Correct me if that's not true. So you have no right to play here.
Of course, you could have played half-drunk; after all, you're just a GTO software operator.
The ability to download hand history files is back on Bovada

I believe this is incorrect because Bovada exited my state over a year ago due to a cease and desist but I'm still able to play on Ignition. I know they are the same network but some how operate separately.......at least on paper lol
anyone else having trouble logging in?
Tiger, which state are you in? I heard they left NY too is that true? If you google it only lists like 7 states where it isn't operating. If you can't play in NYC anymore that's just a massive loss. Majority of players you'd think are in bigger cities. If you got a house in the burbs and family you probably have less time to goof around online.
NL - You're just obv a troll. I try to be productive and post something semi insightful. If you honestly think just because one of these sites bans you then you're 100% guilty you are insanely naive. If I was doing something sketchy, bovada woulda tried to get rid of me 8 years ago. And if you read that post, again you'll see it's not related to poker it was related to sportsbetting. If someone is losing hundreds of thousands, it's DOUBTFUL they're doing something illegal. And they're going to WANT you to stay and keep losing money.
THINK about this - I lost hundreds of thousands betting sports on bovada and they banned me. An actual casino would comp me a free hotel room for a week if I was losing that much. They sure as hell wouldn't want to get rid of you. They're so dumb though that they don't even look through the player transaction history years back. Like hey this guy is down well into 6 figs he's probably not cheating he's great for business. I wasn't even up this year either. And again if I'm doing something fishy why would it take them 10 years to remove me? My limits were super high because I gave away so much. I doubt you can just bet 15k on any game if they see you winning.
Remember when the site went down for 2 days? 2 days. They did some update that went wrong. Whole site crashed. Has that ever happened anywhere else? Lol course not. I believe they only gave out $50 to compensate players. It's a very unprofessional site.
*The recent update + 7 states reportedly being out + potentially more on the way I think are probably the end of bovada poker. Poker in the USA online is I think essentially dead. Betonline actually had a smaller okay base 10 years ago. There's essentially nothing left now. I'm surprised they even have a poker room. ACR sounds like mey traffic. Sportsbook ag actually just removed their poker room recently. Party poker burnt out years ago. If you can't play on GG poker/Stars or find live games I think that's pretty much it
Thank you Cody. Do you know if it would be a backcharge claimed through MatchPay itself, or through certain of the transfer options, like Paypal and Venmo? Thanks.
I am pretty sure the it's happened through Cash App. It probably could happen through the matchpay app itself, but it's generally through the other processer if I understand how this scam works. I probably used matchpay more than a dozen times without a problem but I would only use it in a tight situation now and for small amounts.
Via desktop client, web app, or what?
I can't even get this site to keep a stable connection for more than 30 minutes.
I still feel like games aren't entirely on the up and up here. I play as it's my only option, but it hasn't felt 'fair' for a while now.
dont know if its cause its friday night traffic but i cant remember ignition lagging this bad

It was unplayable tonight.
I got one table up fine, but tables 2 and 3 would be completely unresponsive for 30 seconds to a minute. I gave up after about a half hour of trying.

Thanks for the additional info Cody. I think I'm probably stuck using it, since I don't do crypto. But to manage my risk, I think I will just cash out in smaller chunks, in case I get burned on one of them.
Last few days HU SNG lobbies dissapeared for me, left only 25$. Does anyone else have this issue?
Does anyone know of a way to request a specific stake and game type for SNGs on Ignition besides email or general support chat?
Lag any better tonight? I can't even get pass the web portal login to kick back to the desktop client.
played like an hour ago just fine. now it says under maintenance come back later.
