I can’t understand how kiffin leaving for Florida is anything but a lateral move unless they give him all the money
This is just my prediction but I donβt see lane going anywhere. Hes really in the perfect spot at ole miss where the expectations will never be natty or bust. Plus, his agent is jimmy sexton. Youβll hear his name for other jobs sure but itβs just for leverage for more money from ole miss. Which I think he probably gets soon. I think he only wants the bama job if that ever opens again. I believe his daughters go to ole miss now? Part of the reason he didnβt take the Auburn job a few years ago is because his children wanted him to stay.
10 years ago youd have said a coach could never build a roster at Ole Miss like you could at Florida, but those days are mostly over. Fla, like Georgia or Texas, still has a great instate HS recruiting base that is a big advantage, but for reasons we all know you can build a roster anywhere now and especially a place that has SEC/Big 10 money.

His son seems to be a decent qb on a very good HS team in Oxford. I'm not sure what year he's in, but not disrupting that may be a factor right now. It will be interesting to see where his kid goes to college.
Come on down, Lane.

Rumors of Florida offering lane 13 million a year. Lmao. Jimmy sexton doing work man
Another one bites the dust
No idea how you fire someone who is as authentic cajun as Brian Kelly. I mean, just ask him.
I think I'd like to see some of these administrators put in prison for financial malfeasance or something.
It's getting to where hardly anybody is safe in their position except for dynasty types or those perennially on top of their conference and in the playoff. But not even that because a Final Four team from last year fired their coach half a season later. Nobody secure ... it's like the portal for coaches.

lol Final Four coach, Penn State hadn’t won a meaningful game in around a decade. They beat SMU and Boise State so the committee fixed the glitch because it was such an easy unearned path. That firing was completely earned and building blocks in works for a long time
And Franklin forced their hand with glazed look with his team in absolute freefall. The man was broken and just gave up. Napier still gets his team to play.
UK@Auburn a fun game for the coaching carousel. Both are probably gone next year, but loser might be the next Sunday fire

Itβs beginning to feel like freeze is gonna get another year. Especially if Auburn wins a few more games and makes a bowl. The coaching carousel is just too crowded and I feel the Auburn powers probably feel the same. Just look at all the high profile job openings this year. Itβs insane. With maybe more to come including fsu and maybe ole miss with lane possibly leaving.

As much as I dislike Freeze, I think you're right. There are too many very good SEC jobs that are going to be open this year. Tough competition.
never forget brain kelly was directly responsible for the Declan Sullivan massacre
Imagine being a serious human being and taking the LSU job after today
After a few days more of listening to the chatter. I don't think Stoops gets fired the day after the Auburn game if he loses. If Stoops loses in bad fashion after the Auburn and Florida game it is on the table.

I mean this is a picture of the UT@UK game in the 4th quarter with 10 minutes left
Most frustrating thing is Jon Sumrall now seems off the table. I was hoping Stoops would hand it off last year because Sumrall was there and this result seemed inevitable.
