no man's land with AKs
$1/3, villain and I are $1.2k deep. he has opened 2 of his first 5 hands but could just be getting good hands. no other
Am i the only one who thinks 3b pre is too small ? I would do something like 200
really tough one to range him pre to be honest if its an unknown. some people will have like 4% of hands here and some will have like 10 and it makes a large difference. would not be overly focused on the 1200$ stack and just look at it like like spr 4 pot so basically a normal 3b pot. i dont think you need to range check the turn
When this deep, you don't want to shrink the SPR too much with a hand like AK. You want room to have options post-flop. The goal is to get heads-up and be against a range that will include hands we can beat, like AQ and QQ-. We also want to inventivize hands like AA/KK to get greedy and 4! us.
So I think from this spot, its crucial to make a bet that we could reasonably make with most suited broadway, 88+, and the occasional sc in the 5x ballpark. Incentivize V to raise with his strong stuff and call with his middling stuff, so we can get out of the way when he is strong and make a play at the pot if we miss into a range that will have enough weak stuff in it. When you start getting over 50bb, I think that's the point where a lot of people will start having only super strong ranges in a capped buyin game even deep. In a MTS game, I'd put the line closer to 75bb.
