Possibly the Worst Hand of LHE Ever Played

I open red Tens early. Good lag three bets next in. He's too wide here. Last orbit in same situation he had t9s (which isnt bad necessarily). Spot in big blind calls (I missed this, as I would likely have four bet). I just call.

Flop is 984ddh.

Lag bets, BB calls, I c/r, LAG 3 bets. We both call.

Turn is 7h.

Lag bets, BB calls, I c/r again, both call.

River is 5x.

BB checks, I bet, lag tank raises, BB folds, I fold.

If i ended up in this spot, my caveman default is to 4bet flop and call down a turn raise. I understand the desire to wait for a safe turn with your specific hamd but this just seems like too much turn action.

Like it's the nuts, one more time, please.

Blockers!

I would call the LAG's raise on the river getting about 18-1.

YOU FOLD???? Have you been taking lessons from the Old Man???? LMAO!!!!! .....(now thats trolling lol). Sorry couldn't help myself. See this goes back to you guys and that bet/fold nonsense we've talked about before. I could print money just raising certain boards on the river...against some of you.

not sure i can find a fold here you only lose to Ad6d. maybe thats what he has because he weighing whether or not to raise b/c you could have JT in your range but i just pay it off.

also vs a lag better to 4b flop esp with guy trapped but you know that already

Yeah I lose to jt, 67hh, 66 and a6dd

i think JT raises turn + you block it, 66 doesnt 3b flop even if hes a lag. you're probably right about 67s.

You guys are assuming you only lose to a straight or flush? Why can't he have aces, kings, etc.?

1) theres no flush possible
2) he raises the river with AA multiway on a 4 straight board after being cr'd on the turn with 3 to a straight? unless he's mike postle thats not lag play, thats insanity.

the only reason id call the river is hes lag, and maybe he just decided to kamikaze spaz/steal the pot with some whiffed draw and were getting 18:1.

I mean, even though villain is too wide, it's utg v utg+1 with a tagalong in a 3bet pot. So even though utg is wide he's not that wide. So when we krc flop and kr turn that meaningfully changs the nuts in a way that helps us fairly infrequently, is our line for value?

Our line on the turn was a bluff against the lag. I had intended to give up on the river but the lag has to really fear the Bb behind him too if all he has is Kk or whatever

I’ll guess LAG had the red queens and put hero on JJ or TT because of no 4bet PF/F, but he’s never folding anyway.

What can BB have other than the nut diamond draw?

Bb will have tons of 8x and 9x

Lotta heat to take with T8ss but you did say it was the WOAT.

Full game?

This was 8 handed I think and I was utg +1 and villain was utg +2

Yeah the bb is super wide here, he is much more weighted to single pair because he likes to raise draws

i think trying to cr bluff the turn vs a better hand here is suicidal
