[400NL] Two weird hands in the same 3-way spot

[400NL] Two weird hands in the same 3-way spot

Two hands played at the same table, with the same two opponents: a fish (78/10/4) and a reg (25/19/9).

Both hands felt extremely tough to play.

Hand 1
I’m wondering if folding is even possible here.
Looking back, I think x/r all-in would’ve been better.
Even though I’ll x/r smaller with some low flushes, I don’t think it’s a good idea to strengthen that range with the Axhh combos.

Hand 2
I think his open/call from UTG + flop cold call shows a lot of strength.
I’ve got about a 2/3 pot-sized bet left, value betting seems (maybe too?) thin, but on the other hand, checking/folding feels really painful, since he can still have AA, 56s, 45s…
And on the river, it’s kind of the same dilemma even though it’s actually a ‘good’ card.

Hand 1: fold to shove, you’re just ace-high.

Hand 2: check river, call small bets, fold big ones.

He has the 3rd nuts

Hand 1 - if you are contemplating anything other than a fist-pump call when a fish jams into your A high flush, well you are just being MUBSy. He could have lesser flushes, straights or even sets and take that line. If he’s got the straight flush, so be it. Take the loss and move on.

Hand 2- villain seems like a reasonable aggressive reg. I’d discount QQ since he didn’t 4 bet PF. You’re looking at 33 and 77 that beat you. By the river that’s 4 combos. He also could have something like JJ, AQ or maybe even KQ, all of which you beat. You have 78 bb left otr with 92.5 in the pot already so you’re getting better than 2-1 odds if you check and villain jams. You only need villain to have 2 combos that are behind to break even. Seems like a good check/call spot IMO

In Hand 1, that river raise from BB is almost never a bluff. You’re repping thin, and he knows it.

For Hand 2, I’m betting river small for value. You’ll get paid by QQ or KQ often enough.
