The part where you'd have to cover 300 million people in a new system involving new providers, contracts, regulations and probably 50 other things that you and I don't know about and shouldn't pretend to know for sake of argumentation.
The part where it would need sustainable funding to the tune of trillions a years without causing detrimental issues to the bottom 99% of people.
The millions of people who work in the field that requires more complex answers to solving issues other than "we can retire them" and "we can find them a new job in another field" and of course "all we have to do is pick one and make it happen"
And yeah, after looking in a bit, it looks like it took many years for other countries to implement something like this in part to eliminate some very obvious pitfalls and probably a lot of other things that you and I wouldn't know about and shouldn't assume such as we decide to dramatically rearrange healthcare.

I think Bernie would have both outperformed Hillary in 16' and Kamala in 24' if he was the guy. He probably would have won in 2016, probably not 2024, but only because the libs couldn't manage to pull the ego stick out of their ass.
Bernie talked about issues that genuinely affect actual humans, rather than virtue signaling to imaginary audiences or chasing headlines and symbolic politics that nobody gives a **** about. I think I listened to him on a Rogan podcast . I do believe they discussed the mandatory requirement for the the 10 commandments to be hung in Classrooms.

He's in the beginning stages of running for the Senate next year, the seat currently held by Republican John Cornyn.
He will be 37 at the time of the election. The age requirement to be a US Senator is 30.
