Welcome back my brother in Christ

by geezerchess m

I'll refrain from mansplaining my temp-ban unless asked about it.

No need. Some of us are impressed that you didn't ask CN if she was barefoot and pregnant when she mentioned she was baking cookies. Your restraint is next-level. Setting the O/U at 10 weeks before you eat another ban.

Y'all will be thrilled and delighted to know that I have returned from my "vacation."

I'll refrain from mansplaining my temp-ban unless asked about it.

Will you mansplain your temp-ban please?

I suspect CN hasn't been with a man in years, so the "pregnant" part is unlikely.

O/U should probably be 8 weeks imo.

I was temp-banned for 'misogyny.'

Since none of my putative misogynistic posts were deleted, I'll quote one of them (without affirming or denying the truth-value of my claim):

https://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/showp...

Please remember that Crossnerd is a woman. Women are just really, really emotionally fragile and almost incapable of serious conversation unless they've been properly trained by men.

(In my humble opinion, ofc)

Shortly thereafter, CN temp-banned three of us at once, putatively for 'misogyny.'

I'll will leave it to the reader to luxuriate in the irony.

Take another day to think about it

geezerchess is an ape

Women aren't more fragile than men. They just have different life strategies and priorities for psych evo reasons. Below is a pretty interesting analysis of such differences and how those differences are manifested in our (now) matriarchal institutions.

I agree with CN it’s misogynistic, because it assumes some characteristic of irrationality that I don’t think is any sort of essential property of being a woman. And it’s a part of a β€œwoman hating” (which is the definition of misogyny) falsehood that says that women have a broad lack of emotional regulation which isn’t well founded in any sort of data that I’m aware of.

Lucy should have taught you a valuable lesson but here we are, straight back to "Let's temp ban one of the most psychopath posters again and again and hope something will change" lol.

lagtight,

You should have felt embarrassed to have posted that nonsense the first time around. I have no idea what you were hoping to achieve by repeating it.

Bob,

You don't want mods to have objectively low thresholds for levying bans.

Forget the part about emotional fragility. "Incapable of serious conversation unless trained by a man" is even more out of line.

You can man-splain your own ban upon your return.

Here, I'll help.

Troll baiting that got someone else banned should have the same penalty.

Eh. There is some value in getting people to say what they really believe. And you have to be quite dim to get baited into a ban in this subforum, especially when you consider how easy it is as a general matter to avoid getting banned.

I mean, mongo didn’t bait him into getting banned. He baited him into saying **** he agrees with

Birds of a feather and all

Lagtit got "baited" into being a misogynistic creep by a woman existing ITT.

The good news is I don’t have to try to convince a male moderator that it’s not acceptable anymore, I can just do something about it myself. What a time to be alive. #DEIHire

There does exist people on 2p2 who care about my opinion, so I want to point out that Crossnerds moderation style is a breath of fresh air and exactly what 2p2 needs. 2p2 could in theory be ahead of the curve rather than behind it and what it needs more than anything is input from smart women. The poker world needs that too.

Had a moose in the yard today. And it wouldn't leave. Dog went crazy on it for 20+ minutes and the moose didn't care much. It did some charges but mostly was just content to eat whatever plants it wanted while my dog barked. Eventually it crossed the street and went to the neighbors and I was able to get my dog mostly I think because she wore herself out.

I feel like eventually she began to respect the cows and not care about them so much when we were in California so hopefully the same can happen here.

Trolly still a perv. Some things never change.

I agree it's easy to avoid getting banned if one has fairly middlin' views like you do.

Crossnerd is indeed a splendid moderator.

You should have set the O/U at 1 hour. (And the under would have won.)
