Would you play at this home game?
Iβm relatively new to this crew and this game, and they tend to do this a lot. We play strictly 5 card PLO variants including double board, and theyβll offer to βchopβ when theyβre up against each other after someone calls if itβs a big pot but never offer to chop with me.
Tonight for the first time I called it out because it materially affected the game. I was in a pot with two of them and 1st to act called pot on the turn. 2nd to act moved all in (repotted) for what would have been the rest of my $1,000+ stack. I folded because I didnβt have the nuts. As SOON as I folded the guy who moved all in asked to chop.
I absolutely flipped a ****. I would have called the original bet because I had enough equity to call but not call the all in. I would have won the pot after they ran the river.
I play with this group across various home games and they do it at most of the games I go to. Keep in mind Iβm up 12k playing with these guys because they have more money than brains.
TLDR: Guys I play with openly collude but Iβm crushing their games anyway.

That's nice but you just posted they now understand better how to use collusion to beat you. And letting the sucker win early is a classic con move designed to make you think they are not too bright. Not knowing the details makes it hard to know if you are "crushing" or just being set up. Quit while you are ahead. If you insist on playing NEVER give back the last 4K or so and NEVER agree to the stakes being increased.
Is this a common thing in home games? I've never heard of it, and I wouldn't want to play in a game where it happened.
That's not a home game, that's a setup. I've never been to a home game that chops pots, and certainly one that doesn't chop pots with the newcomer. Walk away
I mean, if I'm up that much and I keep winning, I definitely keep playing. No-brainer. It would suck, though, and I'd hate it. I play in a small game that has similar action -- many of them check it down heads up. Annoys the hell out of me, but they are so bad it's worth it.
I would mention it EVERY time, and I'd ask to see their hands and call out obvious collusion (zero reason to be in the hand).
What do the hosts say?
sounds like a crappy game.
I hate home games for this reason, So many players go soft on each other it changes the whole dynamics....
Honestly, that would annoy me too.
I would never play any home game with even one person in it I don't consider a close friend. I used to play in games at home with friends and if a player took their eyes off the table for a short time AA v KK v QQ with a KQ7 flop was gonna be dealt but it was done as a joke so no harm was done.
In any of these games the higher the amount on the line the bigger the chance of card marking jackasses being active.
Find another game.
