2024 Fantasy Football Thread
Welcome to the 2024 fantasy season, where I'm officially addicted to best ball. I've been drafting since the end of Jan
Giants could make sense if they really think they have something with Dart and Skat.
Reunite Malik and BTJ.
The Q tags and injury uncertainty are the worst thing about playing these, especially not being able to set up team specific swaps. I'm enjoying drafting the 3Q contest much more.
What is a BR?
The BR contest is a 6 team 6 player draft using players from the main slate. You start 1QB, 1 RB, 2 WR, 1 TE, and 1 flex. This week’s contest was 55,992 entrants, $350k PP, and $50k to first. It’s a $7 buy in. You can play up to 150 teams. It’s extremely high variance lol. There are contests with much smaller fields and prize pools. The buy ins mostly range from $3-$100. The te

Cool thanks
So how is everyone dealing with the byes and injuries this week?
Let's just say I'm starting Dike is 2 leagues this week and leave it at that.
**** too much Breece instead of fields
Never post your sweat until you win. That’s fantasy 101.
The irony of Breece throwing that TD to Taylor lol.
And **** Mooney. God that guy has tilted me so hard this season.
Nice hit new guy.
I missed a 5 way attd bet cause of Sutton who had one called back and than dropped the next play in the end zone .
Tonight is the most $ I've ever invested into a single DFS slate.
Wish me luck!
That's a fun team, jimmy. Another year of the RB continues haha.
My highest scoring team is SF. RIP Skattebo, but still a lot of RB coverage haha.
But in nonSF, it's a Puppy 3.
Poor Pete meta'd himself out of a BR win. His team drafted London. He knew Pittman would be one of the highest swap players so he went down to Mooney instead, especially since projections were similar, with Mooney having an edge on ETR. Had he swapped to Pittman, he ships. I probably would have done the same thing. Mooney went from basically undrafted to 30% due to swaps. Pittman was around 77% drafted.
Hurts
JT
Cook
Mooney
Waddle
Goedert
He scored 131.66. With Pittman, he scores 149.56.
With that said, after looking back, I think this is one of those targets are earned scenarios + washed Cousins. Maybe it goes better with Penix, but unlike a backup RB slotting in for an injured starter, the WR 2 or 3 or whomever isn't automatically guaranteed more targets just because the WR 1 is out. Pittman was probably the better play, regardless.
Another dumb spot yesterday was Schultz. Everyone assumed with Nico out, Schultz would become the #1 guy with the Texans WR hodge podge. Not so much haha.
I hate my team, jimmy lol. It's not bad, but I wanted different players.
Start QB/2RB/2WR/TE/Flex
Maye
Conner, Harvey, Jones, Skattebo, Etienne, Ekeler
Nabers, Puka, Reek, Golden, Mooney
Kittle
Plus D + K.
I fear for Puka.
I knew I hated this team lol. Obviously bad injury variance.
I think Reek just made my no draft list. Poor guy.
I regret to inform you, Puka was not safe. I also started Ridley this week. And last week, I lost Slayton and Shrader the kicker from Indy lol. I'm not sure I've ever had such an insane weekly run of injuries. And the funny thing is, I'll be 4-2 and one of the highest scoring teams in the league. Skattebo, Dowdle, and Rachaad holding it down. Hoping I can piecemeal some W
RIP Skattebo.
I don't quite need a trade, but I could use an extra RB.
PPR
I get: Jeanty
I give: J. Ferguson
My other TE would be Fannin. An easy accept earlier in the season, but now I have no idea what to make of this deal.
Yeah, I'd take that and just hope the Raiders figure it out. Ferg has some floor games coming between CD being back and running hot on TDs.
Did you do this, Brad? When I said floor games coming for Ferg, I didn't expect 0 lol. Especially in the game environment they had.
I had all my swaps set as fields and Mooney too haha, I honestly thought he’d be super low owned (correct) and have elite share (incorrect) given his previous chemistry with cousins last year
Yeah, that offense was a complete disaster yesterday lol. The defense was a disaster too. Tua was in the winning milly lineup at .4% owned.
JT the only chalk.
